use that thar Internet Thingy to find the one you want and either make your dealer buy it from the other dealer or do like I did and go directly to the dealer who has your truck.

Internet.......................$30/Month
Plane ticket.....................$250.00
Gas meals hotel back home........$400.00
Having the Hummer you want.......Priceless.

Ken P – I sincerely hope it wasn’t my post that you are refering to. I removed it because I wouldn’t want my first post to be considered “whining”. I did have problems getting my H3 ordered. I shared my story because I wanted Jerry to know he isn’t alone when it comes to having issues with the dealership. I also wanted him to know its all worth it in the end…I love my H3 and I like the service dept at that same dealership.

With that being said, I have enjoyed coming to this forum and reading through it every morning for the past few months. I’ve found a new hobby in my H3. I’m not one to start a “welcome me” thread, just wanted to quietly join in. Everyone needs to start somewhere.

Not sure if this will help or not but, I avoided a "dealer" completely by using a Auto Broker here in Denver.
They took care of everything- the financing, my trade, and finding my H3.

I talked to the broker on a Monday, he called by Wednesday with the H3's he found. I ended up going with an H3 from Sewell in Dallas and the only thing it had I didnt ask for (but I'm damn glad I got it anyway) was the brush guard.
I said to go ahead and get it purchased and shipped.

My truck was in Denver waiting for me less than 5 days later.
Just another option to look at.....

EDIT: here is the Broker I used: HM Brown

Jerry dont feel so bad, I ordered mine in April of last year got it August 25th. I ordered it with lux/offraod, becuase I wanted the leather interior with the large tires and off road supsension, sunroof. The dealer ordered it wrong the first time and insisted that I couldnt get the large tires with the lux pac, and he also said that I had to get the chrome pac to get larger tires, which is absolutly wrong. Dealer was wrong twice, uninformed > I knew more then the dealer. It was so painful to keep calling and telling the dealer that what I wanted is available, they just wanted me to take one off the lot > but I waited and got what I wanted. Your dealer sounds like the same they just want to sell their inventory not take orders so they tell you things to make you think that you cant but you can. order what you want. Its worth it. I LOVE MINE Oh by the way they called me twice to tell me my truck was in, and it sucked going to the dealer only to find out that it was ordered wrong > and the dealer > after I would not take the one they slated for me > had the nerve to tell me that nobody gets lux with off road, only one or the other, like I was crazy. Worst car buying experience of my life but great truck > for me anyway.

I feel your pain, waited 11 1/2 months for mine

Well, actually, I only had to wait 6 months for the one I ordered but cancelled that one and waited another 5 months to pick one up

Like everyone else said, contact Hummer about your experience then find another dealer.

I have been lurking around for a while and I was hoping to make my first post soon with pictures of my new H3. But it hasn't worked out that way.

I ordered an H3 on the 3rd of January:

Shadow Green Metallic
Ebony/Light Cashmere
Adventure
5 speed
Sunroof
MP3 Radio w/Monsoon
Black Tube Steps
Brush Guard
Trailer Equip

The Dealer said 6 weeks, so I gave the dealer a $500 deposit to place the order. During the conversation the dealer said that they should know in about 3 weeks when it would ship.

So at the end of the 3rd week I call the dealer. Dealer said they haven't heard anything.
At the end of the 4th week I call the dealer. Dealer said they haven't heard anything.
At the end of the 5th week I call the dealer. Dealer said they haven't heard anything.
At the end of the 6th week I pay the dealer a visit. Dealer said they haven't heard anything.

I call the dealer at the beginning of the 7th week and ask for the order number so I can attempt to find out it's status. Dealer says ho does not have it right in front of him, he said he will call me back. He doesn't. I start to get that awful feeling that something is not right.

I call and leave 2 more messages during the week. Dealer does not return calls.

I call dealer today and leave message. Dealer returns my call to my surprise.

Dealer says, “well we looked into the order and it is not in the system anywhere. We don't know what happened to it. (and if that was not enough) And by the way we cannot order the 5 Speed with the Adventure package anymore......” WHAT!!

Needless to say I was upset......
I ask for my deposit back. Dealer said sure.

I picked up the deposit today at lunch. Dealer says sorry.

Whatever...... I am so ticked at this point I'm not sure what to do.

Sorry to vent on my first post. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Contact HUMMER and find another dealer. The one you're dealing with deserves to be delt with by HUMMER.

KenP,

Haven't been back ?

I guess you didn't really read the thread.

I was not complaining about the wait, but that the dealer said the order “disappeared” after a 2 month wait, of coarse you would have known that if you had read my post.

Whatever, you are entitled to your opinion.

I am also interested to find out who the dealer was! I got mine from Harvey Hummer in Grand Rapids, and could not be happier w/ the service!
