My father died at 56. AT 56!! Quickly, I might add so I understand.
Life does go on. They do say that life is so tough, it'll kill ya! And what doesn't kill ya, only makes you stronger.
Now that's sounding all sentimental, huh?

I've studied the trail quite a bit and it's definitely at the top of my must-do list. The first ten miles are definitely scenic. I've driven that much of it.

H2F, you thinking you'll make this trip? And camp?
Bondage, is there a <gasp> hotel in the area? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Yes - there is a hotel in the area! If you do Saturday, you can exit just a couple miles north of our campsite to the 15 and then just about 20 miles south to Barstow and hotels - and come back and meet us in the AM to finish on Sunday!
BUT - if your brewing the java - you have to stay in the desert with us.
Sean
ps - the first 10 miles are beautiful. The last five are breathtaking!!!

That's a great idea! Sean, got a location for us? We'll have to figure out how to measure it.
Oh oh oh wait!
I've seen pictures of a water hole that runs parallel to a bridge? That still there? If so, we can have a Hummer Limbo contest ...
Run a rope from the bridge to across the pond, each run lifting the rope higher? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I'd be worried about that also. How about glueing rubber mat to one side of the can? That would help with slippage also. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Well there's a fine idea.
