BTW, those lights were professionaly installed by JnStitz and put directly in to the OEM cross bar. He did an awesome job with both the lights and the switches so if anyone wants to install lights up there without having a rack or purchase a light bar, he's the guy!!!

There's already a competition for scars like that. It's call the Darwin Awards.

hmmm, Heading that way would add an hour minimum. I plan to drive down through Livermore and tie into I5 between Livermore and Tracy. Know anyplace we could meet below that?

Alec,
If you are going to come, then I'll need to set some ground rules:

First - You will respect everyone on the trip, but especially me.

Second - this is a dangerous off-road trip and you better know how to wheel. Winches are required and I doubt I will allow anyone to come without one.

Third - I've asked some key posse members to tent around me. Since you are coming on a trial basis, you will not be allowed in the posse circle of tents. On future trips this requirement will be re-reviewed.

Forth - You will not ask Racer-X to perform menial tasks. We have an agreement and he works for me, only.

Fifth - This is "family trip". Swearing will not be allowed. But talk of "warm pussies" is acceptable (see my previous 'love' post above). </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Can we set up Ground Rules for the Moab trip, or the Tellico trip, or the Paragon trip, etc.... Public forum, public places...

Hey, can I go along on this Mojave ride? I call it a "ride" because it's clearly not a true "wheeling adventure". It's an historical ride. No problem with that. I think it's great.

Scott, I didn't realize you had such a strong hold on everyone going on this ride. Congrats.

"Posse members"... What a funny.

Anyway, can I come? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Ken, you do realize that's not really Bondage posting all of that, don't ya?

And it wasn't Bondage posting in the Jeep thread - Donnie dilemna either. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Ya beat me to it! </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Uh... YEAH! I knew that. I was just messing with ya... Yeah, that's it....

So no one else can go? What if you're not in the same group? Now my curiosity is getting the best of me. Odd. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

This is the original me (sighing along). Ken, that's a load of bull. We didn't restrict anything. All were welcome up to a cap limit which is there for two simple reasons - more than 15 rigs makes it too difficult to do the trail in the time we have, and the NPS requires a permit to be drawn and has way to many restrictions on a group of more than 15 rigs (environmental impact reports and other BS - all of which cost money and take more time than we have).

I'm calling BS here. No one was "excluded." Anyone could join in and come along. 15 people did. It's like saying you are "excluded" from a single pot men's room 'cause someone is already in there....

But you know and understand that already. This is just a retroactive excuse for the crap that has been flung our way.

I'm all done. Y'all enjoy talking to yourselves.

Our possible CB handles sound like a film cast....

I'll of course be Bond. Or 007 - your choice.

Toots as Thelma.

HummBebe is Louise

RacerX and Beavis...well..they leave us little choice. Beavis and Butthead.

Orbital is Rocket Man.

JnStitz in his lone H1 is the Lone Ranger.

Edspad as Rummy.

and starring the Rodster as BUN BOY!!!

ROFLMFAO

You guys are hooligans!

Not that this is particularly relevant to you Californiates but, I'm the newly-appointed/volunteered Hummer X Club coordinator in Nevada. Trail Duty is the official sponsor for the HXC. Because the NV HXC chapter is involved in this event AND mostly because all you left-coasters are really cool people, Phil volunteered the door prizes. Here's what we have ...

Two recovery kits. Each includes a Trail Duty gear bag, two 3/4" shackles, a pair of leather-faced gloves, a folding shovel and a 3"x30' recovery strap. MSRP each kit: $169.

We also have 4 sets of 3/4" shackles to give away and two Trail Duty T-shirts.

Since random prizes are only good for a few, the Nevada chapter of the Hummer X Club is also gathering a few other prize goodies to ensure everybody goes home with a souvenir or two.

As the event gets closer we'll figure out the conditions and time/place for prize awards. I'm pretty sure it won't be near a late night campfire!

Thanks, Phil! </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

OOOOOH that recovery kit sure would look nice in the BeBe Rhino!!!
