guys i remove 22 icons from my desktop to show it ,lots of flight simulator and other stuff goin on on my comp. video editing (i need a mac for all my graphics work) SAT tracking software lots of it .

Nothing like leaving a lady hanging Alec.

CP, Alec is correct as far as he went with his advice. After pressing print screen you need to open your image editing program i.e photoshop, photo paint, open a new blank document that is the same size as your desktop (unless you want to scale the image) then hit control V to paste the image you have captured into the clip board onto the new document, flatten the document and save as a jpeg...
