I enjoy the cost question when it's asked by some moron in an overpriced Range Rover or Benz. I tell them "$16,000 less than my husband's freakin' Escalade" and that shuts them up for a while, trying to figure that one out. After all, the Slade is just another Tahoe!
My fav dumb question: "Does it drive like a truck?" Nooooo....it drives just like a Maybach. Just heavier. And a LITTLE bit stiffer in the turns.

So yesterday I go to Target to get some supplies. The parking lot was packed, except for 1 space that was very near the entrance. It was a compact space and knowing that I could fit I decided to take advantage of the empty parking space. Just as I get out, a lady in a Subaru started to back out of the stall next to the one I parked in. We made eye contact and I smiled, she rolled down her window and with a really pissy look on her face said "Why don't you park in a space that you fit in". Of course that is when I notice her John Kerry bumper sticker and the nasty scowel on her face. I simply walked to the back of the truck, looked at the space markers and replied with a dumb founded look "But I do fit". She rolled up her window and floored her car. It was kinda funny and totally made my day.

Does that truck really weigh 8500 lbs?
Did that really cost 100k.
Do you think my son would like one for a graduation present? (Coming from a smelly, toothless, Vega driving, dirty cloths wearing woman)
I'll think of more, but all were asked in a sincere manner.

I think KenP mentioned this earlier but everyone (and I mean everyone) around here thinks I paid $100,000.00 for it! When my neighbor found out his Escalade EXT was about the same price he literally freaked out (because he really wanted a SUT). It never occured to him to check the price because he too thought these rigs were over a 100K.
Is this a favorable misconception? Perhaps. But it also causes some extreme biases and opinions against the vehicle and owner.

Now if you don't Mind the fact I work in a Union Shop, and most folks there drive company vehicles(Dodges or Jeeps), then it would come as a suprise that I have been huranged about the H2 by the guys driving Geo's & Cavaliers. the one guy was going on about how much I didn't support the company as he was getting in his `81 linclon pile of ****. I asked him how many Dodge products he had purchased in the last ten years, he said he hadn't bought any.
what *******s!

I got asked the most stupid question today. A guy stopped me in a parking lot and remarked that my rig looked great. He asked how much of a lift kit I had on it. I told him that it had a 6" lift kit. Now...the key part of my answer was " 6 inch lift kit ". Now, here is the STUPID question. So he asked "So, what, that raises it up about 4"'s right?"
After I digested the question I asked him where the short bus was that dropped him off. He was pissed but I dont care. What a moron! Told me I was nothing but a rich *******. At least he got the second part right.
Curious to see what other Stupid H2 questions there are out there.

I was filling up at the station once, and some guy and his wife pull up in an old yugo or something brownish/green...He asks me how I like the h2...I figured he was going to start throwing crap...but I tell him that I love it etc... Of course, he asks about price and gas mileage....Then he says, "I love that thing, of course my wife's a leaf-licker and she would kill me if she heard me say that." Definately threw me off guard....

Similar to reply above on payment issue. I reply with very calm serious normal tone.
"Not sure yet it depends on how many payments I get behind and how fast I catch up to hold done interest cost."
Most of the time it is a blank stare and You can see them trying to think of how to reply.
Usually it is OH OK, and walk off.
When asked about MPG I reply "Not sure as I have had it for 8 months and not finished first tank yet to figure MPG." Hoping to leave them thinking it gets really good MPG or it is so bad I can't afford to drive it enough to know MPG yet.
