Frank, The only thing that rolled over more often than a CJ5 was a Bronco II.

I had to drive a crappy ass old volvo station wagon as my first car. I have it on authority that Volvos suck. It weighed almost as much as mu Hummer, yet had a 110 HP engine... What a POS. Nothing against the swedish, I like Saabs.

quote:
I don't care what you guys waste your money on. And I don't get enjoyment out of making people suffer. I just wanted to point out that you fell victim of a marketing play and chose an absurd vehicle.

I was just wondering, is a person who drives a Lamborghini driving an "absurd" vehicle? People buy exotics like this all the time and people don't give them a hard time. I actually owned an 89 countach 25th Anniversary and no one ever said things like this about that car. It got worse gas milage than my Hummer, could barley make it up the apron of my driveway without bottoming out, and if the ground got slick in the least, better get off the road, or not drive over 35mph if you wanted to keep the ass end on the pavement.

I had a Jeep wrangler, with every known Lift, hop up, extra, winch, etc... Don't get me wrong, I loved my wrangler, and I beat the hell out of it, and it got me through some really tight off-road situations. I have only had the hummer for a little over a week, but my buddy has one also, and let me tell you, this is one amazing truck. The size and weight, I was afraid would actually hinder the fun you can have with it. This truck is designed so well it is rediculous. I have never had more fun or a bigger smile on my face while driving as I have sinse I got my Hummer. There is no stock Jeep that is going to touch what a stock hummer can do, you want to start throwing money into hop-ups, let me do the same, you will never touch me.

So why when you go and buy a small exotic that makes NO Sense whatsoever, does everyone want you to come down to shows and let everyone gawk at it or take a ride in it. But go out and buy a BIG new truck that is the hottest thing on the road. A truck that even those in their little, low, 1" from the ground exotics look up at in envy as you drive past them, and everyone gives you ****.

You people kill me. I still haven't figured out if it is jealousy or just plain ignorance.

Either way this forum alone speaks so loud it's not even funny. With all of the problems that people on this board have had, big and small, How many people have said they hate their hummer, or they are getting rid of it for some other 4x4 because the hummer was ****. Exactly. So until you are a fellow owner, or at least have the slightest bit of knowledge on the subject you are about to stick your nose into. Before you go and read someone elses opinion and decide that they must be right and decide to comment on it like it was your own opinion. Do us all a big favor...

Just SHUT THE !@$% up and don't!

This is a quote from Car and Driver magazine: "I loved it [the H2] in photos. Then I saw a real one in the, uh, well, "flesh" is not the right word. I saw it in the plastic. Those cake-pan bumps on the hood? Plastic. You can pop 'em off with your fingers. Those black extenders on the ends of the front bumper? Tupperware tuff for those brutal commutes! Inside, the window sills are high. You look at the world through slits. For the first time ever, you see door-sealing rubber being used as a styling element. The message is "functional," get it? Ten man-size socketheads make a big show of securing wispy plastic cladding to the dash."

A quote from Motor Trend Magazine: "The H2 is big, weighty, expensive, and thirsty. (And it needed a shift into low range to finish a hill climb the Volvo's high-tech AWD scrambled up without drama.)"

-Imagine off-roading in your H2 and getting stuck going up a hill and then passed by a soccer mom in a Volvo X90. How embarrassing!

Those aren't reviews buddy, those are just slanted editorials. If you read either magazine's reviews of the H2, they are absolutely glowing. Motor Trend even took one from Alaska to key west and wrote a long journal about it. Their opionion? The H2 rocked! So you can show whatever you want from the reader's letters section, and the pinko car as costume editorial, but the fact remains that both magazines loved the H2 in their reviews.

PARAGON, thanks for being a perfect example. I'm not here to diss the H2, I wheel with them quite a bit and I love the vehicle. I think there bad ass....But let's not make it a Jeep/Hummer thing because If there is one thing I can tell you, there are plenty of obstacles a Hummer can make that a Jeep can't, and the same can be said for the Jeep...Alec and Adam have taken obstacles I couldn't make, and I've taken some they couldn't make....so shut up and put that to rest....and as for the JeepForum comment. I can honestly tell you that I don't see this much bull sh.. jibber jabber on Jeepsunlimited.com ever.....it's just people helping other jeepers out....and when a Jeep troll as yourself comes along, we just ignore them......

Yeah, ignorance is bliss.

Look kid, you're say that you are "not here to dis the H2" but you ARE here insulting the owners. I have owned both a Hummer and Jeeps, which I doubt many, if any, Jeep owners can say and can tell you that it's the jeepers that are mouthing off. The only negative that comes from this forum about Jeeps is in response to imbeciles like you with your prerequisite apology.

It's obvious you want to "bull sh.. jibber jabber" or you wouldn't have posted in a thread that purposely written to generate the response it has. Tell the guy that's holding the gun to your head and making you read this, that you would rather converse with the anti-Hummer Jeepers on jeepsunlimited.com.

Paragon...I am kind of scared to admit that he is a friend right now. . Yeah...he owns a wrangler, but in his defense I have seen him defend H2's on the jeepsunlimited site before (the Tie-rod incident).

I really dont think he meant any harm by what he said...he just doesnt understand flaming people is just part of the everyday life of the people on this forum. Its what you guys do best.

Troll scale: 4. No original content, and only one post... Pathetic. On the other hand, it has been quite some time without a Troll posting. It was starting to get mighty dull around here. We need another moojiber or andkon. Those guys had follow through.
