If you lifted an H3 and added a front locker and 37" tires, how would they compare in your mind to the lifted rubicon of which you speak?

H3 has a 4 ft tighter turning circle. I assume the approach, departure, and breakover angles on such a lifted/big-shoed H3 would be pretty good. It seems like the only real advantage would be the solid front axle on the Rubi and its say disconnects?

Also, I don't want to over generalize, but don't J##ps break often? On the J##p and other offroad forums i've looked at, for every post about someone going out and having a great time in their J##p off road, there are about 25 post about something brreaking on the way to or on the trial and needing to do some emergency repair.

I have wheeled my TJ for over 3 years, prob around 50 trails a summer. I wheel it hard and I have yet to bust one thing related to wheeling...

oh, and I also have that crappy D35 myself but it's done it's job so far...

All versions of the Unlimited have Dana 44s in the rear and except for the Rubi have 30 up front. The Rubi has a 44 up front also.

I wish the Hummer line had some of these features, namely the removable roof and sections. That is an awesome feature. You get a lot of different combinations. I still don't see how they can call it the "only four door convertible on the market".

I wish Jeep had a better history of on-road safety. The Liberty is a Marginal, the old Grand is Marginal, the Cherokee is a Marginal, and the old Wrangler is Acceptable. The IIHS has yet to wreck any new Jeep models. So I don't really trust a Jeep to protect me. This said, no Hummer has been crashed by IIHS either. However, the Colorado gets a Good in the frontal crash, so I suspect the H3 does just as well...

I also wish Hummer had models priced like this! Maybe the next model in the pipeline will come in at a lower price with these kinds of cool features.

Oh, and it's interesting to note that things like this (the removable roof sections) were originally in the designing phase of the H3. Removable fenders were also played with. Maybe we'll see these things down the road.

Where is their history of lack of safety? I mean, forgetting testing since there are millions of these vehicles on the road, real world numbers should be available for crash test safety.

Granted they are no H2, but I don't remember any reports of even a problem with the wranglers safety and it has had the least of the safety equip.
