Re: I Have A Confession To Make...
If you have a brush guard you could probably put some zip ties (or American Flags) up there so you would know where the front corners are. Since you can't see the fenders you have to imagine how far the stick out past the edge of teh hood.
Try raising the seat up for awhile that might help.
I am still getting used to the extra width of the H3 because I've been driving Jeeps and Toyotas for so long.

they attach to a lower part of a fender,
are like a foot long or so,
are mounted at a 45 degree downward angle,
and they are made of like a spring (chromed for the bling factor)
They make a noise when you get within a few inches of anything.
That would be classic!!!!!!!!
The other approach is simply to keep in mind that the edge of the front tire is in alignment with the edge of the rear tire, so using the sideview mirror angled down a little and looking at the position of the rear tire you can infer the position of the front tire.

The above may be cool....
But read the below

Dat's cool....I could use the 35's to ram into the blockage and then I'd know where my fendors be..

That's what I meant when I called them "curb finders" up above. LOL! Vette thought about using them in a vertical position on the fenders, but they wouldn't stay erect ... they are sorta floppy.

Yeah I hear yah.. Had a thought last night as I walked pass the front of the 3. There's a space at the end of the chrome grill where the fendors in question meet.
It's almost big enough to slide a clear plastic rod maybe about 3-5 inches long and approximeatly 1/8th to 3/16 inchs in diameter in between the grill and fendor with a little pushing force. Or, even maybe some kind of a rubberized snap type clip on the grill trim to hold it their.
It coiuld then be lit with a small LED attached some how to glow at night.
In the day it wouldn't be that visable untill up close.
Ok... Who's gonna build the first set..??

Re: I Have A Confession To Make...
Please, just don't. Take your truck to a parking lot and pratice or go drive an H1 for a week then you will be fine. And please do not.
pop rivit stuff to your truck
put a knob on the steering wheel
use glue or calk to stick things to the dash or interior
put old carpet pieces in your truck to protect your floor mats
put large mud guards with reflectors
retro fit accessories to your H3 from pick-ups
all these things are signs you should be driving a Buick.

I love the Knob thing, I saw one of those the other day and said "they still make those"? The funny thing is that it was on a car with power steering, weren't those designed for trucks and tractors that were hard to maneuver without power steering?
