"those cheap chrome stick on goodies." What are these? did I miss something cool? do tell.

When I had Hummer new, I had those fake bullet holes on my Hummer for 2 weeks. They are now on the garage frig. when I see them I thought to myself: "How could you?!!! what were you thinking?!" There are times when you drive down the freeway alone, suddenly something very stupid you did years ago pops up in your mind, you are so embarassed but what can you do? History will repeat itself, 10 years later(2013) you will think back at something silly you will do in 2004.

One thing good about being "older" is that you have more money than you had when young, and don't let them fool you, money CAN buy happiness. There is no one there to tell you what you can do or cannot do, you tell people what they can do or cannot do. You know who you are, you know your limit, you know you are not Bill Gates and will not be, you are comfortable with your age (whatever it maybe), you see your sons are better and taller than you, you no longer are horny all the time and you don't want to get lucky. You don't give a F what others think of your Hummer. Have a nice day.

TankGirl..
Please do us all a favor and take your rig off-road and get it DIRTY. Then send us pics to review.

H2 owner should use there vehicles to experience the great outdoors and enjoy their ride.

Thanks in advance,

Mid life crisis? I am 36 and there are younger ones on this forum. I thought that crisis meant flashy, curvey sports car down at the strip picking up chicks. Oh wait, that was last year. Maybe you are right, I needed something big, boxy and sloooow.

EEEWWW!!! No you didn't!!! The fake UT?, I wouldn't dare. I went to the Harvard of the South- RICE UNIVERSITY... Even though I lived less than 30 minutes from their campus they had no interest in me. Coming out of high school, I wasn't big enough or fast enough to play football for the teasips. However, I was fortunate enough to beat them one year in football while I played there.

You could always get some haircoloring and salt-n-pepper your hair, as opposed to those blonde highlights you are sporting right now. Also, taking out both the eyebrow and tongue rings do wonders for the impressions you are leaving the "adults" who are judging you.

If I get any commrnts other than its neat or cool.. My retail cutomers usually will say something like "Man we sure know who makes the Money" I just tell them that if you spread the payments out far enough they don't cost anymore than a Kia payment.

Welcome to another VA citizen. There is alot to like in Roanoke. I believe there is another relatively new member here from your town.
However, what did you expect driving around that way? And in Myrtle Beach to boot. All those seasoned citizens playing golf and enjoying the peace and quiet until some hotdog comes along and ruins the tranquility. Even if you are on the strip, just look at the ages of those folks.
Heck, I am not anywhere near retirement age but I do not want to listen to garbage spewing from someone's stereo.

I would say arrogant *******. That is the image it projects. I think MOST Hummer guys are nice. But there are a few who you can tell are pissed that there are other H2s on the road and that a young guy like me is driving it. Those are arrogant *******s. Noc, I'm 24, I was 23 when I bought mine.

I have 2 vehicles, thats all I want. For every Hummer owner with 2 vehicles, there got to be one with 10 vehicles. I actually know 1 or 2 people with 10 cars, but they are exceptionally rare. I thought the Hummer PR release of income was much higher, which I did not believe. $75K is reasonable but not easy to feed the family and the Hummer at the same time after Uncle Sam takes his share.

I think I fit both of PhilD's categories, Nice Guy for sure, trying to stay young & trendy before it slips away, well I guess so now that he exposed me. Short I am not. I don't think the Hummer image was a big part of my purchase decision, but I sure found out that super sized image came no charge with the Hummer, I was used to the high profile cars, but they were nothing like the Hummer. It is logical to assume others on the road think PhilD is one or combo of these 3: nice, old or short.

Image could be 50% of most auto sale decision, don't you think so? thats where hundreds of millions of advertising dollars went.

I know I got my H2 because I enjoy the nicer things in life, but I also do a lot of research before I go out and spend a dime.
It is my opinion, the H2 is the best deal on the market for all that you get.
I am 37 and do not feel like it is a mid-life crisis, but what do I know!!
I just like to have fun, and a vehicle that will allow me to have it!

I don't care what you drive, if you have your stereo blasting with windows open, I want to slash your tires too. I've seen those people and cars and loud bass sound cruising in neighborhoods they don't belong, when people look at them, they actually think everyone is admiring them. I blast my stereo too, but windows are closed.

Couple days ago I was in the back seat of my Hummer, I noticed something I did not see before, a lot of people looked at and talked about my Hummer, 50% or most of the cars on the freeway. I am usually the driver with my eyeballs on the road so I did not see that before, nothing like a year ago. I didn't see any funny face nor negative gesture, just many people pointing at and obviously talking about my big black beautiful Hummer.

Hmmmm...

I think when I roll out of the H2, people realize I need a vehicle like this just to fit in. I mean, get real... Besides a Tahoe/Escalade or Excursion, there really isn't another SUV that a guy my size feels comfortable sitting in. And to dispel any myths about inadequacies, just make it a point to accidentally make your manhood fall out from your unzippered pants as you exit the vehicle since you know... everyone is watching the guy in the H2.

What is the Hummer image? Or rather what do think other drivers on the road think of the Hummer drivers?

Example, when people see a Ferrari, they think “Playboy.” a new S600 or new BMW 7, they think “Fat Cat or Rich.” A messed up old van, I think “Mass Murderer.” beat up old car with headliner falling half way down, the image is “loser.” etc.. So what about Hummer drivers? “*******.” “Arrogant.” “Spoiled brat.” I know Hummer as or PR says succesfull individual, average income etc.. but we know those are PR talks to build the image.

Irrelevant and inconsequential, just for fun. What do you think they think?
