I did the same thing and couldn't find where anyone said anything (good or bad) about the SMA rack.
On the other hand, I did find loads of people who had nothing but good things to say about GOBI. I bought a GOBI rack and liked it so much I just bought another. Sure, GOBI is a bit more pricey but it's a real pleasure to own something that's so well built and looks so good.

I'm still wating on the rear Manik rack to come in. When it gets here, I'll post a picture. It comes in front and rear piecs. Front is already here.
Couldn't you attach Yakima or Thule snowboard clamps to the rack some way?

Thanks for all the responses - This site ROCKS!!
I'll wind up getting 1 of the Gobi racks and it good to hear all the positive feedback for them.
It makes it alot easier to drop a couple thousand when soo many have positive things to say.
So, Thanks again fellas!!!

Matt, you'll see my Gobi in a few weeks if you can wait that long.

Adam,
The rack looks great but I have what may be a stupid question. What are the cables going from the brush guard to the rack for. I have seen them on a number of H1s and just never knew.

You can make them yourself with supplies from Lowe's.

Just a question...
What advantage would there be to having a super strong roof rack? If you have one that will hold the cargo and not bend, wouldn't that be fine? I'd think an ultra heavy duty one would be a waste.
I can see needing something strong for a grille guard or rear bumper guard.
Just wondering.

It would depend on what you're carrying. To get one as close to the roof as the Gobi with 2" brackets requires the rack to be sturdy. Otherwise you could easily bump the rack into the roof.
