I did not move his post ... I was speaking in general terms.
Some posts may get moved to the other sections of the forum where it is a more appropriate subject for the topic.

If we were still stuck with our Jeep, I'd be jealous too!

I've found that it all depends on the individual and Jeep owners/enthusiasts tend to be a loyal lot.
I had one lady pull up to the gas station in her lifted TJ and she rolled down her window and proceeded to impart nothing but sincere and positive comments. She indicated that she was "glad to see another bad-ass American rig being produced."

It's like the tides man. Strange coincidence that Moab always seems to fall during "low tide".

So AlecW used to be CO-Hummer? Who was CO Hummer then? Why did CO-Hummer became AlecW and whoever CO Hummer was became CO Hummer? This is interesting! Not memory lane for me, more like finding an antique trunk at en estate sale..

People like that just piss me off. I have or had friends just like that.
I'm not the richest man in the world. There are alot of things out there that other people have that I could just dream of. And yes, I too get jealous at times, and think to myself, boy I would love to have that. But I never would through it in someones face that can afford something that I couldn't.

I had several thumbs up from Jeeps and Rovers last weekend. It was all smile, thumb up and wave. We just had a few bad apples Jeep and Disco drivers visited the forum, they do not represent all other Jeep and Rover owners.
When I drive down the road, I never think "Mine is better than yours" about the vehicles next to me. Big guys and bosses don't do that. People in top of the line S class, 7 series or Cadillacs don't do that, only jr. people in smaller vehicles do that, the bosses just drive pass the juniors without even knowing they are there. Same maybe true on the highway of life.
Thus the reason why when buying a vehicle, one needs a "category Killer", "Best in its class". Nothing to do with how expensive it is, but must have certain merits to rise above the rest, such as a Mini Cooper, a Bug, Mach 1, Vette, S500 and many others, all have something unique or history to free them from the competition.

Hey I posted results of tests what they said. I'm not saying that the H2 is a bad machine. Actually I think its an highly capable machine. I am wanting to learn more about the H2. I'm more of an Offroad vechile fan. I was just stating facts that someone says the H2 is much better. It is in certain aspects but isn't in other like offroading. You guys dissed jeeps first so i defended them with tests by several people have said. I didn't mean to flame.

Jeepster...
If you take the time to notice you may discover that this, in fact, happens to be a Hummer H2 forum. Perhaps you were looking for the Jeep forum?
Ahhh....don't worry about it. You've got some good points...things we've covered already. We've come to figure our respective vehicles are like our genetailia...we all have 'em, they differ to some degree....but we don't need to play "who's is better".
The bottom line is that the Jeeps (while being lethally effective) are really not a good comparison to a Hummer. In other words...your not comparing apples to apples.
The Jeep has a small wheelbase and is packaged nicely to accomplish many task offroad. It's silly to compare the vehicles: I've witnessed obstacles that each vehicle could do that the other can't.
Just recently, one of my buddies pre-ran the John Bull trail up in Big Bear for our club: he was able to get up a nasty incline with no problem....whereas a Jeep Rubicon (your flag-ship) was unable to make it despite repeated attempts. Does that make the H2 better then a Rubicon? well...in that particular situation yes...but can the H2 rockcrawl with her big size and longer wheelbase....not nearly as well.
My buddy Dennis was just being a bit over-enthusiastic about the H2. We've endured a few attacks from other forums here and there....so please excuse what you may perceive as an overly defensive repsonse.
On a friendly note, if you plan to stick around (and your welcome to), you may want to reconsider your username to something else....maybe something that doesn't incorporate the term Jeep in it?
Btw, while you read this post...somebody just stuck a paper with the words "I LOVE HUMMERS" on the back of your shirt!!!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When I first saw the H2, I put it in the same category as the Aztec and Avalanche.
It has started to grow on me since then, but I will NEVER like the dash design.
I'm much more impressed with the mechanical features than I am the looks.
What those guys said was deffinitly uncalled for and very immature. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
I don't think they were jealous about not being part of the "elite group" though. More than likely, they probably thought you were a yuppie poser and wanted to let you know it.

PreyObird6 is totally wrong, Mom is always right! I've been a stock Yj Sahara owner for
8 years and I'll tell you. If your jeep isn't modified, lifted, or beefed up,....Jeep enthusiasts can be really cold. I've worked damn hard to save up for this puppy and I will enjoy it. And yes they are jealous because NO MATTER WHAT THEY PUT ON THEIR JEEPS, IT WILL NEVER OUTPERFORM A STOCK H2!!!
Oh and Mike97ZJ, Ego or not, Hummers are ELITE, that's why I want one. I want to be a yuppie poser, then I'll buy a Beemer.
I'm from B.C. Canada, the terrain here is Hummer country....Not many yuppie posers here.
Canada mourns for the astronauts too. Hang in there guys.
