Sorry to hear that. There was a guy at the shop when I was getting the new tires that said it was a glorified Trailblazer because that was the frame it uses. I corrected him about having nothing to do with the Trailblazer at all. He wasn't really trying to give me a hard time but just didn't know. He seemed to like it and based on some of the vehicle I have seen him in over the years he knows a thing or two about wheeling. Trying to get him to show me some places to go up in Ocala.

I asked about someone they recommended to do some custom work for you and power coating. One of the guys is supposed to call me in the next couple of days with the number of a guy they know. I guess they do powder coating where he works and he can do stuff after hours for extra cash. Will let you know when I here something.

Right now I'm in the camp of "Kill 'em with kindness". When I told my family I was getting a Hummer they were shocked. My middle sister started on a tirade of horrible this and aweful that blah, blah, blah.

I gave her the facts, told her why I wanted it, and what I was going to use it for. She saw the light and has been cool about it ever since.

I treat all the haters this way and I've yet to have a hater win the argument. When the day comes that they do... Well. Tough Sh1t. Put it in 4low and lock the rear dif. Then drive over their sorry a$$ civic/status/pos.

the newest hater quote I have been told about my H3 is that it is a lifted station wagon with a chop top!!! And I am always getting comments about it being just a jeep that is amped up on steroids.

Fortunately I live in a place where my friends and aquaintances know little about such things; ignorance is bliss. In fact I have called my H3 a refrigerator because of the way the rear door opens. Only one young lady said it was ugly but the others immediately contradicted her. What matters is that there is absolutely no other truck in its price bracket that I would buy, period. I didn't buy it for impressing other people; so I am not let down at all if they are unimpressed; I bought it for me. EOS.
