Having owned 7 hummers and 5 currently, I would say the 08 h2 rides just about as nice as a lexus SUV or RRS. Its leagues above my 03 h2, not sure how much of that had to do with the fact the 03 was 4 years old when I traded it in and drove the 08 the same day but seriously the 08 does not feel any bumps, its amazing.

Rasm and the other H3 guy....H3 does NOT outwheel an H2. I have wheeled both many times. Pics of both of you "wheeling" please.

H3 alpha with 35's would be a good match, but stock for stock, ground clearance, tires, locker gives H2 the edge in most instances. I have not come across an obstacle that an H3 could fit through and my h2 couldn't. However I have been on numerous slippery hill climbs where my H2 pulled H3's up. BFG AT vs Bridgestone Duallers there.

As for comfort you are smoking crack if you think an H3 is more comfortable than an H2.

I'll have more after September 20. The turning radius on the H3 is far better than the H2, this coupled with it's smaller size makes a gigantic difference in the ease with which it negotiates mountain steep, tight, brush covered Jeep trails around my house. It weighs significantly less and my H3 has a rear locker and 35's also.

At Tellico H2's and H3's are very comparable. But, H3's seemed to get high centered easier than H2's, but were surely more nimble in tight trails.

So did the H2's not make it anywhere the H3's did? And did any bone stock h3's go up the obstacles bone stock H2's did? Not the first time out at moab. I believe they broke front diffs. I am not saying one is better than the other, and there are no facts to back up the assertion that a stock h3 will out wheel a stock h2. Thats my point.

Show me where I said it outwheels? I said in many regards, it beats the H2, like water fording, better turning radius, and with 35's, it's got equal or better angles. Take into consideration that this was a response to a guy who said the H3 doesn't even come close to the H2.

Again, never said it was more comfortable, just talked about legroom and headroom, and that it's not an issue for tall people to be comfortable in an H3.

I loved the seats in the H2, the H3 seats are comfy but the H2 seats are simply incredible (well, atleast on pre-08's, never sat in the 08)

I think if you got to ask your simply not Hummer Material and your really not wanted in the Hummer group--There is something missing and you probably have weird desires to hug trees and other stupid things.

Do you carry a man purse or have your a55 waxed? If so stick with the RRS. If you could care less what the neighbors will say and consider yoursel an individual independant thinker, get the Hummer (its obviosly what you want deep down, its whether you have the sak to actually get one and keep it).


I have to say, the RRS's are pretty darn capable, I've seen one in action and I couldnt belive what it could do on those "low Prof's". My friend just bought an LR3 and he will be taking it to tellico with us in two weeks. We shall see how it will do. He blow dries his hair just FYI.

For sure. If you can, try and meet us up there. Were leaving on that Friday evening. I am going to the land rover off roading happening with him on sunday so we will get to know his truck a little before Tellico. I'll report how that goes as well.

IM going to try to make it up there but we have adopted 6yr old twins and life has changed. From no kids to two 6 year olds really spins your life around. I might just come with my father again but well see.
