It's true. I've noticed it on other SUT rigs as well. Why do the stock tires look smaller on the SUT??? Some weird optical illusion or what?

I like that OnStar install! Very nice.

I recently had the OnStar box out. Wow, is it so empty that the guts will fit in the glove box space or does Toots' glove box have only the switches and the guts are stashed elsewhere?

Sean -- Can't say that I ever noticed the diff between trucks with 35s but now that you mention it, I have to agree. That is strange.

Rodster,

The guts are stashed elsewhere. There is no sign of them in the glove box. It was very nicely done!

There are also professionaly installed wires running everywhere in this vehicle. I bought it used but with only 18,000 miles on it.

I was told the previous owner had more money than god and installed everything you can possibly imagine but never took it offroad or towed anything with it. He then took most things out of it before trading it in for another Hummer. All of the chrome showing is actually billet. Pic below are the "air vents". A bit too flashy for me but I'm not really noticing them anymore.

I have checked out the tow hooks for signs of usage and there is none. The undercarriage is in perfect shape as well.

Sort of ironic. I'm now changing it from a mall pimp mobile to an offroad maniac!!

Yup, that's a slick OnStar install.

A previous toy-heavy owner might explain the other switch and since idle switches are not good, you must install a new toy that needs it.

You might want to remove that brush catching bo-o-o-o-i-i-i-ing maker before the Mojave Road event. Lift the rubber boot and unscrew it with wrench.

If you're going to run your rear cam video signal through you dash screen then yes, that switch could be used to change video sources. Good idea.

Up on the switch for front lights, down for rear, very nice.

Winch? Depending on which you get you might want a switch for a solenoid.

Electric Bumper Dumper lid lifter?

It's because the SUT was designed as a more capable offroad vehicle than the SUV, and as such, has a higher ride height than the grocery-getter SUV.

I agree. Complete waste of space where they put them!

Nice truck, ugly color, you need 37's.

Post a pic of the CB.

Looks good.

Since you're changing it around, if you don't want the gas door, I'll buy that off of you for a reasonable price... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

You know, I may actually consider that. My only dilemna is that the gas tank cover has been screwed in and will leave holes so I need to do some research on what to replace it with so the unattractive holes don't show!!

I'll PM you and let you know what I've found and at what cost. Are you interested in the "air vents" as well?? They are very nice if you like billet and the chrome look!!

As usual, Phil is exactly correct. I have it on good authority that the bed was specifically designed to fit the medium Bloomingdales bag.

Medium Brown Bag fits in the H3....SUT could easily fit a BIG brown bag.

Jennifer...

Nice looking rig! (even though it IS black! )

If it was done while you have had it, what kind of shop did the DVD install and Onstar move? They did a really nice job with it -- has me thinking!!!
