Help plz
I am thinking of selling my beautiful 06 reg range rover sport, and was considering buying a hummer h2 or 3. Can you guys give me any reasons why i should opt for hummer, besides the size of the damn things

Re: Help plz
I fail to see how though, the wife would love one, but i just can't see it beating the RRS for ride, comfort, refinement and the yearn factor. The interior of the hummers i have been in are far inferior to that of the sport.
Anyone else, no y i should buy one?

Re: Help plz
I would suggest that you take an H2 and H3 for a test drive and see for yourself then make the decision on whether to stay with the rover or go with the Hummer.
They are two very different vehicles.
I've not done the research, but it appears from looking at the exterior of each vehicle that the Hummer was designed to be more capable off road than the rover ie, approach angles etc.

Re: Help plz
I had a 01 Range Rover years back. If you like a smaller suv than maybe the Hummer is not for you. I liked mine for the most part, but really enjoy the largers suv's. I had a Navigator as well and I liked it But the H2 by far trumps them all. I have a supercharged one with alot of extras. So maybe you need to look at customizing one to your liking. I for sure do not think that an h3 would satisfy you at all. That would be a pretty big downgrade. Go drive an H2 and them come back and ask some more questions.

Re: Help plz
the H2 is very different from the H3. As one might expect with a $20K+ price tag difference.
Being 6'4" tall I dont find the H3 as comfortable as the H2. Again, its a very personal decision based upon your likes and dislikes.
The 08 H2 has signifigant improvements on the interior of the vehicle. I'd suggest that you look at a 2008 H2 and also the 07 H2's left on the lot to see which year you would like better if at all.

I like the RRS a bunch and am considering getting one in addition to my 03 H2.
You ned to take the H2 for a 24 test drive to really get a feel for it, not just the weak ass test you get while at the dealer.

Re: Help plz
Good point. Check out the 08 H2. The interior is more refined. Plus you get a full 3rd seat as an option. I imagine that the 08 H2 will impress! I like mine because it is different than almost everything else. I was tired of driving a Navigator because you would see them everywhere. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Re: Help plz
The H2 is bigger, inside and out. It has better off roading dimensions (at a glance), however, the RRS fords 7inches deeper in water. All in all the two are very comparible.

I dunno, I hate to say it, but I like the RRS.
But yeah, go test out the H2, it will be something you are more used to.

Re: Help plz
Personally....I feel the Rover is more of an urban looking SUV where as the Hummer has a more rugged and tough look. Thats just an opinion of mine and also my wifes.
We checked out the rovers at the car show this year and ended up buying another H2 since we like them so much.
I agree...a hummer gets more looks than most other vehicles on the road....mine gets looks from kids to the elderly and all ages in between. As the hummer slogan says...."Like Nothing Else"

If you prefer a more "refined" vehicle then perhaps the RRS is a better choice. However i think you will find the ride and drive of the H2 to be quite pleasant.

Compare to the Range Rover you won't be happy. Not to piss on H2's but there is a major difference. Only buy a H2, if you are a big kid and want to have tons of fun. You like pissing off the tree-huggers and so on. And when it really comes down to it......you want to be different and unique. I also have a Lexus LX470 and the ride is far more comfortable. But, I love my H2, love the way it looks, sounds and the attitude.

Re: Help plz
I agree. The two really can't be compared because they are just that different. Either way you will be getting a fine auto that most would love to have.
best of luck

Re: Help plz
Do you ever go or plan on going off road? If so, find a decent off road driver who owns an H2 and try to follow him through some difficult obstacles. This alone will convice you of which one you want. If you don't go off pavement, you can probably get either one and be happy.

I liked my Range, but I never did what I have done in my H2.

Wifey had an 03 Range Rover. It's a silky ride no doubt. But unless you're going to take it off road, I'd stick with thr Range Rover. The RR is definitely capable, but I couldn't see myself to risk scratching it.
