Hmmm,
GM is way too close to me for comfort
Sex: Male
Age: 40
Occupation: Principal Engineer (software).
Marital Status: Married 12 years and about to do it again (yikes - there's two of us on here )
Reason for getting H3: Bored with Jeep Unlimited in stock form. Would cost $Ks to modify it for offroading (which I wanted to get back into).
Missed the luxury of previous Grand Cherokee and then heard about the H3 and it was love at first bite.

Reason for getting H3: On Jun 18, 2005, 10:48am, my son and I were rear ended @ a stop light by a drunk driver. He was going 65mph, never hit the brakes, and crushed my company F150. My son and I walked away.
Monday I went shopping. I was sold on a Siverado Crew Cab /Duramax/4x4 because of the great price and good ride. I saw my first H3 on the way home and thought "why do I need a truck?" After 4 days of back and forth in my head and on paper, the H3 kept winning. My main concerns were being too showy to my customers and my employees...But the H3 was still $4,000 less than the truck. I can justify it! I ordered the H3 on 6/25/05. My wife drives a Steel Blue BMW 330Ci and I ordered the Slate Blue H3. I am anxious to see how close they match.
My lifted and built Jeep Cherokee is going to be SO mad when I bring it home

Reason: I always liked the H2 but not the size or MPG. I had a Tundra 4 Door but it was like driving a boat. Parking was hell. I sold it and bought a Nissan Pathfinder which was a very nice SUV but it had no style or flair. The H3 has a unique tough and rough appearance and feel. Its just the coolest SUV on the road.

Sex: Male (bought for wife)
Age: 28 (bought for 24 y.o. wife)
Marital Status: Married
Occupation: Mechanical Engineer (wife is a high school English Teacher)
Reason for getting H3: We were looking for a mid-sized SUV (4 doors) to replace our Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab. We had decided on the Nissan Murano until we saw the H3. The wife fell in love with it and for just about the same price as a loaded Murano we are the proud owners of a Black H3. Plus, it is offroad capable and I'll be testing that out soon.
Demographics:
average age 40 um...not quite
income 100k dual 75k single ...close
male 60% I guess you can say I bought it but it is actually for the wife
married 70% got this one
college grad 55% yep
children 64% in the oven
cars in fleet 2 actually we have 3
Buyer is active and adventurous
confident but not brash
driven by long term goals, believers in working hard and playing hard.
most have not considered H2 because of size, effciency or price I have considered an H2 long and hard...will have one someday. SO I guess this one is wrong

Reason for getting H3: My lease ran out on my Trailblazer and I debated between the 3-series bimmer, audi a4, cadillac cts, tahoe, yukon, and then walked into a Hummer dealership and left with an H3 haha. I got the GMS discount from my dad who works for GM, so that played a part in my staying with GM. But, I thought the interior was real nice (lux pkg) and it can still go through two feet of water ha. It's a real comfortable ride too.....

Occupation:Architectural Paving Contractor
Reason: tired of driving a truck, wife drives a BMW Z4 so we needed something the family and/or dogs and gear could get in (kayaking, fishing etc)Love the square styling and capabilities of all the Hummers, drove the H2, was impressed, but can't justify the $$ or the mileage. Wish a small (say 3.0L) turbo-diesel was offered in the H3.

Reason For Getting H3: The H2 is a little bulky and too hard on fuel. I fell in love with the H3 when I first saw one in May. I was driving mine on June 11th and think its one of the nicest vechicals I have ever owned.

Yes. Familiar with the area?
If so, KC Hummer sponsors our 4wd offroad park. It's 83 miles from my door, 240 acres, 3 levels of trails, and great place to visit. Weather plays a big game there. KC Hummer has an event coming in August there. Hopefully, I'll be seeing some H3's participating....
