OK I have absolutely no idea what the previous ten posts have been about - but I would have fired the prick as well.

It's that attitude that just made me remember why I hated dealing with the ego, better then you attitude that some of you owners have. So your the boss well with great power comes great
responsibility. Could the employee need an attitude adjustment? Did he have a family depending on him? You don't care, he rubs your ego the wrong way because you "worked for everything you got" so he deserves to be fired. Shallow man! Nobody never gave you a break on the way up or took you aside to maybe teach you something. Don't hide behind that crap.

Hart,
My comment was not aimed at you. Dennis throws a bomb at the South every once in a while just to stir the pot. No real harm done.
I'd like Dennis to visit the South and see the sights. Maybe drop him off in North Georgia for a canoe trip! You know - Where they filmed Deliverance!
Dennis could help them with their grammar, and they could well... Show him how the movie was made!

I have always said insubordinate is my middle name. I challenge everything my boss says with a joke, or sarcastic comment. It just makes life/work more interesting. I just make sure to say it to her face so she knows it is just me joking, not taking shots at her behind her back. Its worked out well so far.
BTW...sorry for the thread jack...its a habit.

Ok, it seems harty-boy doesn't quite have a grasp on the English language. And, as much as I hate to, I must point out another one of his absolutely stupid remarks. Which was, "False, never, ever claimed any information here as "Fact"." Normally I don't care about semantics but I realize that harty is stretching quite a bit and trying his best at it and feel beholden to point a few areas of the many where he has fallen short. But, dude, come on, "information" is nothing but a bunch of facts. If you provide information, you provide facts, anything else (as in your case) is false information.

Yes
On the flip side, you have one bad seed corrupting and possibly swaying the staff to his view. It's like spreading a rumor. Not good for the working enviroment.

I'll be, I left for the ranch on Friday and missed some more fun. Can't believe I missed the Deliverance stuff. Also, can't believe I missed our harty boy and some more of his stupidity. Ok, let's see how he tries to talk himself out of this one.
Harty, notice in your quote above where you say that "though, in fact, I am non-exempt and not on a clock." Maybe you need to try to study a little English because you suck at it. Non-exempt means that you are LIABLE. Of course, you meant to say that you were EXEMPT because of your high position as division head in the affluent well-respected city. But alas, you screwed up again and stupidly tried to be sound smart and said NON-EXEMPT.
Sorry guys, I just couldn't let this one stop at only 8 pages. ESpecially with goofy ole harty screwing up again. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Greetings Paragon, and welcome back:
I had a slight concern that this would backfire as way too obvious. But, it did not, even with “hints” of “try again” and “you will catch me...”. You took the bait. Like the proverbial fly on ****, you hopped on this and did not disappoint.
The point? To demonstrate that mechanical thinking persons, like Paragon, are predictable and can be easily manipulated. Why? Because obsessive, belligerent, presumptuous, negative people are predictable and can be easily manipulated. It is the duty of all free thinkers to see through these types of people. That way, awareness relieves one of feeling insulted and hurt. In fact, you have the power.
However, the truth may shock, but it never hurts, it can only heal. How can this information benefit Paragon? All he needs is courage. In fact, it takes a lot of courage to give up having an enemy. One profound Teacher of Esotericism rightly expressed it this way:
“Unawakened people demand enemies, for enemies provide a fierce agitation, and emotional thrill, which they tragically hold onto as life. As we dare to give up enemies we enter a void, experience it fully and eventually emerge on the other side of life.”
I hope Paragon reflects on this. Mechanical thinking is a gigantic hoax that few people see through it.
I eagerly await your response, hoping for the best. If negative, then I will examine the next few days of your emotional floods and discuss them in the context of using “non-identification” as a way of defeating this type of hypnotic sleep.

Hart1-
You've got a true money maker and you don't even know it. I'll help you out though.
1)Print off all of your posts in this thread. 2)Then take those pages of posts and make them into a book.
3)Title the book-Enlightenment for Bosses...
4)Now, here's the kicker, take your Enlightenment book and refer to it as "Nothing" and then charge "something" for it...
As Paragon has demonstrated before in another thread (that was as meaningful as this one), you'll definitely get something for your book of nothing...

I think some of you need new bosses. Respect betwen you and your staff are key to a great biz. I'm sure this is more to this story than what we have all heard. Maybe the jackass that was talking behind his boss has had an attitude problem for a while and the BOSS saw it was spreading to other people within the company. My current boss and I get a long great. No secrets, no back talking. Honest, open, and a truthfull realtionship bewteen you and your employees is the only way to go... small or large company! James did not can this guy for the commentabout his rig! ...Unless james is a really big prick.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> should be "an esoteric path", twice, nonetheless </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Arrogance?
The choice of article is actually based upon the phonetic (sound) quality of the first letter in a word, not on the orthographic (written) representation of the letter. If the first letter makes a vowel-type sound, you use "an"; if the first letter would makes a consonant-type sound, you use "a."
So "Esoteric" is sounded as "es" or "s" so "a" can be used. s-e-teric is the sound spelling or "consonant-type sound.
