Comparing notes here, Bondage ...
By my count we're at 13 confirmed trucks. That doesn't include JeffB's friend with the question mark by his name. I also have two ? names on my list (friends of friends) that I think are coming but I don't have their direct confirmation. I'll chase them down with that in mind.
--------
If you're at all interested in the history of the wild west and the important role the Mojave Road has played over the centuries, $20 is well spent on Dennis Casebier's book. It's an outstanding guide to the area and includes maps and extensive trail notes.

Well aren't we both being productive with our rigs today! Sounds like I'm having a little more luck. I cut down and rounded off the plates and got everything a lovely shade of black on my HiLift mount.
Thanks again to PhilD - his design! It's easy (if I can do it, anyone can) and solid as a rock! Makes a great first step up to the Gobi ladder! All I'm missing now is the handle keeper - and that should be here tomorrow or Tues.

Bring it, with this many truck and the location of this run, you can never go wrong with having something and never using it.

They may be young but they definitely are not tuned out ...
Last night my 7 year old informed me she knows what kind of car she's going to buy when she's 16 (and I quote): "an H3 with 4 inch lift".
So I showed her a pic of HummerLV's new ride. She got a big smile and even bigger eyes and asked if he was bringing it.
"Nope."
"Well Daddy, that sucks."
Adult themes seem to fly right past kids but the words have a way of sticking.
We discussed why "sucks" is not an acceptable word for a 7YO.

That's ok, Racer. Now you're an expert.
Actually, we take 16, so it's all good.

BTW, who took the pics?
And seriously, what do you know about the Bun Boy Motel? If I can't get a first-hand accounting of the place, I may have to drive to Baker to check it out. At least three of us are plannning to stay in a hotel Saturday night and I don't want to be the guy to recommend a flop house.

Time to get serious for a sec - dammit. Did you drill the optional second hole at the top? If not, you really should - it's easy and it makes the damn thing ROCK SOLID!

Sean </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I did indeed, although I shed a tear while doing so. I'm 6'1" 200 lbs. No way I wasn't adding it.

Nice!
BTW, I'm no marketing mind but I wonder if this thread might get more action if you change the title to something like SoCal/SoNV/NoAZ yadda yadda? Could be Mojave Road means nothing to most people. I've been in Vegas a couple decades and only learned about the M.R. a couple months ago.
Odd, Mojave Road abbreviated is M.R.

How embarrassing. I still had chrome and little tires ... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
The tires are allright. The chrome sucked out loud. Outstanding job on extending the shields! As far as painting them to match, um, well, um, why not paint that gawdawful pewter thing to match the shields?
