Most likely... Though its a little early for the good stuff to pass on through, lot of unusual types nest in the Joshua Trees and surrounding habitat.
Little background info, Got a biology degree from Univ. of Oregon, love nature, and tried at one time to become an independent birding/nature guide in Southern California.
Last time I was up that way, I saw a red fox (no not Redd Foxx) in broad daylight which was pretty cool.
Might see desert tortoise, tarantula, prob. too early/cold for snakes and for sure coyotes... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I saw the coolest prehistoric lizard of all time there! I swear it was two feet long!! I think I have a pic of it somewhere!!

Sean-
You can always take this approach.
Or, if you drive a truck like mine, brushrake? I'm more concerned about falling boulders, or brakeless h2's

Hey Albie!
Sent you a couple emails about this recently (maybe to the Yahoo account, don't remember). One more email headed your way later today after I scout the Saturday morning meeting location.
You coming with us?
Edit: To be clear, we are at our target cap of 15 so if you want to go, you're on the wait list. That'll teach you to check your email!

I consider that the hours I spend with a cue in my hand are golden. Didja ever take and try to give yourself an iron-clad lead from a three rail billiard shot? But just as I say it takes judegement, brains and maturity to score in a balkline game I say that any boob can take and shove a ball in a pocket...

The Mad Greek is a restuarant in Baker, or at least it was when I was hiking around Cima Dome and Kelbaker and Cedar Canyon Roads 4-5 years ago.
Perhaps because its one of the few restuarants in the middle of nowhere... that's why the food tasted surprisingly good after a day of hiking in June when it was considerably hotter...
And there beer was very cold...

Good grief, I'm not suggesting people drink and drive. That's obviously a bad idea.

I deleted it because I realised after that you meant AFTER the trail.
And because I did not want to look like a "No Alcohol on the Trail" nazi.

How many trucks can travel on one permit? Any limit?
Don't know how you feel about it but the-more-the-merrier does have limits. Once we get up over a dozen it's a whole different ball game -- the train gets way long and the odds of a breakdown go way up. Cap at 15? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
