I guess it comes with the 3.7 liter V-6 and you can upgrade to the V-8s. Same wheel base as the Cherokee (109.5) and 2 inches longer than the Cherokee, it's a Cherokee with a third row seat ...and it's ugly.

Not to counter the H2 as much as to give them a true "Full Size" SUV. With gas @ $2.50/gal they're timing couldn't be worse but they desperately need to compete in this segment. There is a huge profit margin in full size Luxury SUVs as we all know and Jeep wants a piece of the pie. |

It's ok, it seems like they're trying to model after the mighty H2. Some of those concepts are pretty cool looking!
Also, I always wondered what "Jeep Trail Rated" really meant; check this out from the site:
"Through a combination of natural and controlled field tests, as well as computer simulated environments, Jeep Trail Rated provides a repeatable and consistent measurement of off-road performance for all Jeep vehicles. Only Jeep vehicles are Trail Rated."
Interesting...computer simulated off-roading....
