Default H2 RTI Index

I did a ramp today at the UMass auto show. Got a TON of flack about the H2 (it's a Suburban; It's a Tahoe; It's no where near as good as the H1; H3's SUCK!). But they pretty much shut up once I ran the ramp. Stock, locked, the front approach was 394. Unlocked backwards (didn't feel like putting the locker/t-case back on) 369. The organizer said he was impressed that it did about as well in the forward as his friends heavily modified truck. Most of the guys also undid suspension parts or lowered tire PSI for the ramp. Others said it was pretty cool to see it actually flex so much. Some guys must have felt like complete jerks for their predictions. Bet they're glad they didn't state them publicly...

Have to say, there were a lot of negative comments about the H3. Too bad none of the folks have probably ever wheeled one! But I'm exhausted from defending both trucks...

Most of those with negative comments about the H3, have never off-roaded their own Jeeps, Toyotas etc.
My neighbors son, Kyle, is a great example...his Jeep can do anything and H3s can't. Well one night, his mom comes over and asks if I can pull his jeep out of a mud pit.
We traveled to the pit, and there he was, buried up to his axles in slick, clay mud. I first had to pull his buddy's Jeep out to gain access. Not easy, but I did it. I knew, I could not pull out Kyle, he was buried way too deep, but I tried a few times.
He was finally pulled out by a heavily modiified Chevy P/U with a Duaramax, and a large set of mud tires. It took the Dmax P/U about a half-hour to pull him out.
The next day he came over and thanked me for trying, and was amazed I did not get stuck, as his buddy did, when I tried to pull him out. I believe he earned some respect for the H3, but I believe what he and his friends actually learned is any vehicle can get stuck, and just because a vehicle can't pull out another vehicle, does not mean that vehicle is a poor off-roading vehicle.
Most of the off-roaders around here are into mud, and I HATE MUD.

It's always good to shut up the ignorant haters.

Funny, every time I go wheeling it seems like the guys that poke fun at the H2 early in the day are the ones that wind up getting stuck over and over.
