Default NAV disk keeps spinning even when "OFF"

Hi,

We have a 06 H2.

The NAV disk keeps spinning in the unit, even when the NAV is turned off. It is quite audible.

It keeps spinning when the radio is on. It spins even when the vehicle is not running, as long as the "accessory" circuit is energized. When you pull the key out, or open the door (same thing), the disk stops spinning.

Is this normal? Does anyone have the same problem?

Does it spin forever, or eventually stop? The CD player on my computer does the same thing but eventually stops when your are not using it. Since you have an '06 take it back to the dealer and ask them. It is under warranty.

Hi,

The disk just keeps spinning. Does not stop, ever. Only stops under conditions described above.
