Default one more Rancho RS9000XL question??

I just got me some Rancho RS9000XL shocks for the front and Rear and I see that the RS9000XL have the direction arrows on them but I also see people putting the shafts down, body up and to boot or not to boot?? just asking what you guys do that have them on your Hummers. Thanks.

Just did the Air to spring conversion last week and swapped out the 4 shocks and steering stabilizer. The shop did the Rancho's with the knob pointing down and booted.

Thanks for the info and I agree about the boots on them just holds all the mud, water and road dust in. looks like the front shocks I have to leave the boots on them but on the rear I can take them off. I have to wait to put them on right now its to darn cold outside -15 C here in Germany and no garage.

How was the steering stabilizer installed? Using the rancho bracket that says it must be used on their site? Just curious, because that is how I did mine......but some people say they use the original bolts, but they wouldn't fit on my installation.

I installed the rancho stabilizer same time as the bilstein shocks and i used the oem mount on it. Kind of a pain to get the old one out but install went ok.
