Default Unlocking the radio??

Hello Fellas

The radio on my H2 has some of the button finishes worn away. I managed to buy another complete radion off e-bay for $5.Basically just to use the buttons to put on my one.

I managed to prise out the volume and frequency adjuster. But the pre-sets seem to be a different matter and i cant figure out how to do them. So i thought i would take the next option and fit the unit instead. It was simple enough. But when i connected up and switched on it showed up locked on the display. Is there anyway of unlocking it??.

Hi just so you know any newer gm radio that is used goes into theftlock mode if you install it in another truck. Its done to prevent a stolen radio from being installed in another truck and work. The dealer can program it for you its $40 to $100 depends on the dealer.
