Default who wakeboards?

I am brand new at it, and not sure what board to buy. I have only been on skis before - and stood up on snow boards to mess around - so I am green. I am 6' 200lbs, and not sure what size to get. I hear longer is better for begining...but looking for more tips!

We just bought a Sea Doo RXT, so I cannot wait to try it!

The wider the betterIMO. It's been a couple years since I last wakeboarded or kneeboarded. Whenever I did wakeboard I think my friend had a Hyperlite model of some sort. It took me about 2 weekends worth of trying before I could really go for a long distance....but it was lots of fun. I miss it. Hummm.....might be nice to try again...?

Good luck to you! Have fun w/ the Sea Doo. They are great....I have the girly pink and purple '94 model SPF....(ya..time for a new one)..but still runs really well.

This will help.

there is a lot of good info here. The writer agrees with HIHUMMER that wider would be better for starting out.

I wakeboard, but I find the Sea Doo RXT to be a somewhat lamentable failure of design and composition. I won the Wakestock and the WWA Wakeboard World Championships three years in a row with my triple twist magic carpet ride. Personally, I prefer the Gator Gonzalez 132 Wakeboard.

That's why you drive the Sea Doo into the wake of the bigger boats!
