Welcome Mrs!

Don't listen to all the blackers. Truthfully, the black trims are MUCH MORE maintenance than the chrome ones. Especially if you off-road, since mud tends to permanently etch itself into the black trim. So after washing you gotta scrub, then put the right trim dressing since Armorall actually makes it WORSE in the long run! Speaking of long-run, don't forget the terribly bleaching effect from the sun -- especially Texas sun!

With chrome, you just need to wipe dry with micro fiber cloth after a car wash, and 5 minutes later, good as new! Even my gauged-up (way beyond scratches) chrome rims look great when clean and shiny. Lastly, the glare off your chrome trims gives you all the excuse you need to buy an additional pair (or 10) Chanel sunglasses!

true. I'll put it this way: I own the lowest amount of stock bling possible, especially now that 07 will all have chrome handles. And, I have added nothing with bling or without a purpose other than aesthetic! And those are stock lug bolts. I do have the prius hybrid emblem on the back, but its purpose is to confuse (very effective) so therefore it is not bling.

Aah, I would attribute this to geography then, Phil. Living in a mega metropolis like LA -- instead of backwater itty bitty Texas village (regardless of how big a marble-lion-studded mansion you actually have) -- one could actually get a ticket for driving around in a mud-crusted vehicle.

well, FWIW, its not necessary to fret about your chrome. my wheels aren't so hot anymore, but i'd still rather have something shiny than not.

go chrome, mrs. do now.

Ooooo....I like the idea of the hybrid emblem. Where did you get that? I thought about putting a "John Kerry for President" sticker and a rainbow decal on to confuse the sheep also. I also thought about making a sticker that says "One less bicycle".

Depends on your personality. If you are creative and take pride in your accomplishments, no question go chrome, but tastefully. If you tend to take the easy way out of things or don't really care what the end result looks like, go black.
