Default I know we've discussed this before.... light bar.

On my first H2, I bought the factory 4 light, light bar... IT SUCKED.

I know there are two other styles out there.... one with about 10 lights and it looks like the original light bar and the other has some brackets that don't make it look like the original.

I want the one with at least 10 lights and looks just like the factory bar.

Someone remind me which one is which....

It's not the X10 or X50 or something like that, is it?

Thanks,

Mark

Walmart sells 55w driving lights almost similar to the delta 55w in shape size, except for the quality obviously, same brightness. i have 6 of them off a truck i sold. I am gonna pick up four more at some point and see if I can squeeze all 10 on there... recessed just like the one pictured. total cost less then $100 If all goes well. and a couple hrs time.
It may sound ghetto but I have had 2 roof racks ripped off. One at Yankee stadium parking another wheeling. I dont want to worry about $1200 bucks riping off my roof.. and at $100 bucks i can do it 12 times if need be I will be good at it by then

OK, here's my take on this. you want some serious light up there? And if $1500'ish is about what you are looking to spend? Why not go with something that is next to bulletproof, way brighter, and less draw?

http://www.rigidindustries.com/product_p/rgdl50.htm

You can mount this to your factory crossbar easily. 2 wires to run. I can tell you that this thing will blow that delta bar away X10!!!! the 50" bar is a near perfect fit.

Let me know if you want to know more about these.

I made a bracket on a 20" to fit the lower grille on the H2 and plan to use the 50" up top. I think I will get over the "fear of the dark" thing?

XTC make the other bar.
they use PIAA lamps on that one.

Here's the SOMO page for both bars:

http://www.somo.com/Lighting-Products-Lights-s/32.htm

In my experience in both light manufacts:
Delta = low to mid end quality. (no offense to those using them).
PIAA = mid to high end quality. (I have used PIAA on all of my trucks to date without only a couple seal issues on the PIAA 1500's)
Rigid Industries = high End lighting and the price to match to it. once you see one of these bars first hand, you will be breaking out the CC!

Thanks guys.... a few thoughts.

The LED's are GREAT... however, I want the Delta only because the bar matches the factory bar....same thing goes for the PIAA lights.

I did find the light bar for just over 1200 bucks... cheapest I've seen yet.

I hadn't checked out the walmart lights, I'd have to see the quality of them.

Do you have pics of the 20" bar on your H2...

I am seriously looking to add one but want some first hand feedback. I am using a Ram Offroad brush guard and may just use the tube brackets that Rigid sells, but always open to options :-)
