Default Need FJ responses

Ok, I need help with a list of responses for the FJ. One of our regulars for poker night just bought an FJ and has yet to see my H3 (sure he doesn't even know I have it). He is a real ball buster and I know he is going to be giving me a hard time about the FJ vs H3. I will definitely be calling his the KY cruiser but would love to hear any other responses you might suggest.

I guess I should probably mention that most anything regarding specs and off road capability will probably be a waste on him. I don't think it will ever see a dirt road let alone anything challenging.

Just make sure you are parked next to him so he can see how ugly his is. Oooh, better yet- park in front of him and go on a beer run mid-play.

Then talk about all the fruity colors his comes in and invite him to take his lifted Mini to Tellico with us next time.

I would be more than happy to drag him around Tellico. How about you CP, ready?

"cool man it's nice to see you got a rig to take on the trails. If you ever wanna wheel your more then welcome to join us......"

then I'd walk away and let him be happy with his Toyota and I'd be happy that I have an H3

I'm Ready anytime you are Newbs!

Here are some comparisons I gathered:

The FJ rides much better onroad than the H3. The frame on the FJ is much stiffer. Yet, in a pure offroad environment, the H3 starts shining. Contrary to what the Detroit News says, the H3 has a much tighter turning diameter, 37 feet, vs. 41.8 for the FJ. It also has a 4.03:1 low range vs. the FJ's 2.566:1. That along with the 33" optional tires, it is better for extreme rock crawling. Overall, though, the FJ will do just about everything the H3 will. It all depends on the driver.

The H3 five cylinder engine has more vibration than the FJ V6, especially between 1500 and 2000 rpm. The FJ also has more power, although that changes in 2007, when the H3 gets bumped to 242 horsepower, surpassing the FJ's 239. That really doesn't help your case but we'll throw it in.

The H3 is 400 pounds heavier, so acceleration will still fall behind for the H3 but helps a little off-road. Mileage is about the same for both, but the H3 uses regular, rather than premium for the FJ. The FJ also has a 6 speed manual vs. the H3's 5 speed.

The interiors are as different as night and day. The FJ is best described as rugged utilitarian, which is quite functional but not comfy, while the H3 is more car like and plusher inside. No leather in the FJ. The radio is a lot better in the H3, too if your down like that.

Shag will love this though. ^

C & D compared the following and here is the order from best to worst "rock hopping suv's"

Yup-Terra
Cherokee Laredo
FJ
H3

It doesn't mean anything but I thought it was funnay.
