Default Slide-out camera mirror on rearview ...

My '08 H2 has the slideout camera mirror in my rearview mirror. It was working fine, but has recently been working only 30% of the time. When I put the H2 in reverse, it slides out, but then slides back in immediately. 30% of the time it'll work and stay out until I put it back into D gear. I've turned the feature off to reset it, but that doesn't make a difference. Anyone else have any ideas before I go back to the dealer? Thanks.

Could be a loose connection, I am not sure how it is wired up but if the wire that detects the negetive ground or the trigger when shifting to reverse is loose it could cause this problem.

Thanks 8500lbs. Makes sense. I'll head to the dealer. There are about 20 little wires bound by electrical tape behind the mirror. They look pretty tight in there, but as you say, one may be loose somewheres. Hopefully I can wait while they check it out. The funny thing is is that I never thought I used that camera mirror much as it's not a true measure between the rear mounted tire and the vehicle parked behind you. But now that it's malfunctioning, I need it.
