Default LINE-X Stuff

We applied LINE-X Xtra in black and color matched gray on this H2 skid plate. If you're not familiar with Xtra, it resists fading and loss of gloss and contains a Dupont Kevlar micro pulp for extreme durability.

We also applied gray color matched Xtra to his Amp Research steps. We sandblasted the steps, then applied a special LINE-X primer, then applied Xtra. Result: It will take over 2,000 pounds to pull the LINE-X away from the metal.

Another job:
This Hummer had a do-it-yourself bedliner in it. We stripped it out and installed black LINE-X Xtra.

That's great for the beds of the trucks for sure! But a complete waste of time for the skidplate....unless it never goes off road. One smack on a rock, and it's done! Nice lookin H1 BTW.

Well, considering that most vehicles weigh in at over 4000+lbs and rocks are usually immovable objects I'd say you've got a problem.

Agreed. It looks good, but that skid plate is toast if the truck is wheeled any.

If you do decide to wheel, let me know, I'll send mine to you and you send me that one. I'd take care of it...I never wheel!

4OnFloor is just pushing products and services....

http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/s...650#post307650

I'm sure he is doing this on many other forums too. Clueless on H1s, 2s and 3s.

I don't think so, pal. LINE-X is not something I can ship to anyone. Also, dealers are franchises, so I don't benefit at all if you go to a dealer in your town. So, how about just relaxing and enjoy the pics.

That profile you posted is not me. I'm not in PA, I'm in Texas.

The truck bed looks really good. If there was a way to keep the Line-X from getting shredded off of the skid plate when off roading I would do it.

LINE-X has a special primer called SF515. If you apply that first, it will increase adhesion to about a 2,000 pound pull off strength (per ASTM C297). SF515 was used for this undercarriage LINE-X application. Also, the LINE-X was spray to about a 1/4".

Rocks don't care 'bout no steeking pull off strength. Line-X is great stuff, but get it cold and it gets kind of brittle. Whack it on a rock when it's cold and bye bye Line-X.
