Default First Failure on the H3T

Just my luck...ran the H3T 300 miles on Sunday and parked it. Everything seemed fine. Decided to take it for a drive today and noticed a very loud ticking noise when taking off. Pulled it back in the driveway only to find grease flung all over the inside of the wheel. The boot on the axle let go for some reason. Made a pretty good mess. Gonna take it to the dealer tomorrow.

That sucks! At least you were close to home. Got to love warranty repairs. Pray for a H3 loaner.

My local dealer has a few H3 rentals so hopefully one of them is there. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I wanted to tear into it really bad but have to keep reminding myself somebody else will do it for free. I'm extremely happy it failed now instead of waiting until I'm on the trail. I was bored so I went out and took two more pictures. Sorta hard to see all the grease but it is everywhere. Enjoy.

No wonder GM is going belly up...
Good luck with the fix. Ask for a H2 loaner with a full tank of fuel

Got it back today. They were going to try and rebuild it but they had to replace it since it was chewed up pretty good. Had them throw on the black rims while it was in the shop. Now I just need some Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar's and I'll be good to go.
