Service VME - Arm Rest Pad Broken Loose from Inner Door Panel

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

SERVICE VME
After receiving a number of reports of the arm rest pads broken loose from the front driver door inner panel upon receipt of the vehicle, it has been determined that the cause is attributed to transportation damage. Please be sure to inspect for this upon receipt of new vehicles and if a broken arm rest pad exists, note it as transit damage. Warranty claims should not be submitted at 0 mileage for this condition.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.



GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition.
