Default towing?

I was wondering if any of you guys are towing anything with your h3's. Im in the process of getting a h3 but I really need it to be able to tow my 21 ft. ski boat on a tandem axle trailer. I only have to tow it about 10 miles but wondering what its towing capabilities are.

I towed a king cab truck loaded down with copper caps ( don't trust moving folks in general ) some 459 miles without any problems.

Couple times a week I hull stuff around in my trailor, never had any problems.

Last week I towed a Jeep off the coarse

lol thanks for the information guys like i was sayin i kinda jus wanted a idea of what it could pull because i havent bought one yet and i dont really want to bu a new 07 cause i kinda want a 06 with about 25 thousand miles so maybe I could save a little bit of money.

I use to pull this boat with my jeep wrangler and it pulled it ok but it was so light the boat was kinda making the jeep sway back and forth.

I towed my Suzuki Samurai from Nor Cal to Moab and back, 1,800 miles round trip with no problems and got 12 mpg to boot. The Sammy and trailer weigh 4,400 lbs. Once you're rolling it pulls great.

I pull a fully loaded trailer of dirtbikes & quads most weekends, 80 mph no problem, but with the auto trans, it shifts around way too much, works really hard to keep speed, gotta put it in 3rd on big hills.

Used my wife's Jeep Commander (yup, it's got a Hemi) to pull the load up North one weekend, that thing's got some balls!...but it was all foo foo leather & clean inside, didn't even want to take it out back on my trails for fear of rippin' some PLASTIC off her.

I digress....the H3 pulls fine, just don't go over the load.

You should have it in 3rd at all times when towing. 4th or "D" is basically our overdrive gear. I keep mine in 3rd even when pulling my trailer empty (1,500 lbs). There's less than a 2,000 rpm difference from 4th "D".

Why waste your time with the H3, buy a H2 and you won't even need to ask if you can tow that or not.

Just do it! Just do it!

And give up my 15 mpg around town? That would be just plain stupid.
