Default ABS and TC on dash comes on and stays on?

so the last 3 days, i would go out and start my baby up, and the ABS and TC lights stay on after the H2 is started.

If i shut down and immediately start back up, they go away like normal.

If i let it sit for awhile, they stay on.

now i imagine people are going to say " check for codes"
i just havent done that yet, but looking for possible ideas what could be the culprit.

thanks

If you have a cold start misfire this will disable the traction control and turn on the warning lights. Cold start misfires usually happen due to leaking intake gaskets, also could be setting lean codes for the same reason.

Also if your battery is weak this can happen due to a low voltage input to the ebcm, lights will stay on for the duration of the ignition cycle. Then when you do a restart the low voltage condition is not present and the codes go to history and the lights will go off.
