Default H1 as a daily driver

Does anyone use their H1 as a daily driver? We have the H3 and a PT and once I sell the PT the H1 I'm getting will be my daily driver. For trips and Hwy drives we will use her H3 but for work I'll be using the H1. I only drive 24kms (15miles) one way to work.

Used mine as an "only vehicle" and daily driver. If you keep it near stock and maintain it properly, it will serve you well.

If you start modding it more and more drastically over the years for extreme off-road use, it will become less street-friendly. Or so I hear, anyways

In short, mine was a daily driver for years, and I loved it.

Thanks Manny!

At the moment I don't see myself doing hard core off-roading but our family has 24 acres that would be cool to go through. Nothing extreme anyway, just my stereo install which is waiting!

Good to hear as well. My H1 is just an hour from me now, getting the safety and emission tests done and Canadian compliance stuff done to it. ( daylight running lights and bi-lingual stickers, stuff like that) I see early next week getting it. I have my plates ready for it too! (J SELWA for me and M SELWA for the wifes H3)

From the records of the truck it's been babied and stayed in the same state. (Arkansas) With only 38,000 miles with lots of dealer maintenance work done to it should be pretty good. The 95 service manual I just bought off Ebay will certainly help and knowing that good diesel and H1 service is just 30-40 minutes too! (not a dealership too) Not to mention all the guys on here and there which are willing to help out.

One of the many reasons I did get one was to learn more about it and have it for a long time. With less sensors and electronics they are much easier to work on. Parts are harder to get up here but since they still make them for the Army, they are available.

I have my H1 as a daily driver and have no big issue with it. I have had it for almost 6 months now and love it. I did run into the same issue as most people have and that is catching back up and fixing little loose ends.

We have the same set-up at our house, me witht he H1 and the wife with the H3. It works out good...
