I bent the cage that sits behind the front skid plate to the point that it now rests on the exhuast pipe. I ran it over to straiten it a couple of times but I cant get enough wieght on it. Are there any suggestions on how to better flatten it out?

You could heat it, and then straighten it out to yours hearts content! Or you could rig it with spacers(washers) so it won't hit on your exhaust anymore.

Good Luck!

If it's not too bad you could do as RIC-H2 suggested. I put washers in mine to keep it from hitting the exhaust and it worked until I really nailed it a couple of weekends ago at a Hummer Happening. I put it on an alignment machine and put a chain around it and anchored it to the bottom of the lift and then raised the lift up and down about 3 times and it straightened it out.

H2 Bill,
Were you in Texas for THC 2005??. We might have hit the same thing! I'll try to heat it. Maybe a midnight run to the dealer if that doesn't work.

ShortBus, no it was here in So. CA. we were rock crawling in a dry riverbed. The lift really worked well, we were afraid of taking it off because of the bolt alignment. It might be a problem getting it back on.

I will send you an unbent one for shipping costs only. PM me if you are interested.

I take them off my H2's since they do not go off road and they do not fit with my lifts.

That's probably the best way to do it. If you have a winch, you could removethe guard, catch it between some rocks, and pull the high spots down with your winch.

That's the exact method to use. I've done it 3-4 times now. One note- the "cage" is really tough, so you'll need to slowly run your tire up each length-wise bar individually to get it back to normal.
