I think the only way you can get above 13 mpg is with the A/C off. Heck, I have never even hit 11. Was your A/C off Drty?

Why does the SUT look small in that picture in comparison to the minivan? Something looks off each time I see it. Maybe the angle of the photo and the minivan being closer?

Minivan...MINIVAN...wash your mouth out with soap. Its the angle of the picture, the front tire on the ENVOY looks bigger than the rear if you look.

The first thing I do when I start up is to make sure that the damn a/c is off. That compressor is a power-sucking hog.
I was really light on the gas pedal this trip just to see what kind of mileage I could squeeze out. I might have even broken 14 mpg if I hadn't stopped to check on the fishing potential of a couple of streams that have been calling my name on the last couple of trips.

In that H2 commerical with Regis & the transexual model on a cruise ship, I always thought it would be a hoot to have Regis standing through the sunroof, holding a fishing pole, perhaps with a Marlin leaping off the ocean..

I think it would look better if it had the chrome grill...It could also use a nice waxing, doesn't have a very good gloss to it, might be the color? Anyway looks great, and the interior kicks some serious bootay.

I agree 100%... the grill DEFINETLY needs the chrome plating. it looks very awkward. it was the first thing i noticed. the bed seems to fold down nicely though

Clay -

Thanks! Everything we asked for - much appreciated.

Quick question - it looks like there is a raised area around where the midgate folds down - in other words - not a totally flat surface from the bed to the interior - True? Comments?

Thanks again!!

hummer17-

Your right, there is a step when the mid-gate is folded down. If I remember correctly, there wasn't enough room to package the mid-gate any lower, and raising the load floor caused more problems than it solved.

I also added a few more pics

Looks like you had some fun. Great pics. Pic 42... tell me you pulled someone out and that strap was not used to get you out.

Claydog, any reason they made the midgate opening 47½" wide and not 48"? I know that's a big problem for some people, not being able to lay a 4x8 sheet of whatever in there.

timgco,
We had a blast, I can’t say enough about the Kinzalows hospitality. About the strap, all I’ll say is the truck performed flawlessly, but the driver left a little to be desired.

Dan,
This is the first I've heard that the mid-gate is less than 48". I'll check when I get a chance, but it would surprise the hell out of me if it was less. That is something that just would not happen unless there was a very compelling reason for it.

DAN,

I finally got a round to actually measuring between the wheel houses, your right it is 47 ½" at the load floor, but its over 48" at the hight of the folded down mid-gate.

So the width between the wheel houses is 48" a couple inches above the load floor?

Ya, if you look at the rear view pic of the bed, you can see that the wheel house cover angles up at about a 45 degree from from the floor on the pass side, it's only 47 1/2" right on the floor.
