When out 4Xin this last weekend the stabilitrack failed light came on and stayed on until I shut the truck off and re-started. Anyone have any ideas on how/ why this happened???? It's at the dealer and they are still trying to figure this out since yesterday. It did throw a code but I'm not sure what the number is. Anyone?

When I went off-roading on some hairy stuff the same thing happened to me. The engine light came on, the message as you stated came on and it beeped at me every once in a while (like the no seat belt beep). I was very nervous because I was in the middle of no-where. I just kept on because I had to stopped to take a piss. Got back in and it was off. I have driven at least 1,000 miles since it happened with no issues.
Told the dealership when I went in for 3,000 mile oil change. They said, "if it still isn't on we can't fix it". I don't know if it is really an issue but it is not cool.

You are not the only one at least. Let me know what you find out & tell them it happened to other H3 owners.

just a call from the service dept.

Stabilitrack light:

Dealer is waiting on a software uprgade from GM to fix the problem.

Tire preassure light:
Replacing the BCM for the tire preassure light is not an option at this point due to GM had sent out a service bullitin not to relace them.
They are still looking for a fix.

Also, two codes were thrown:
P0171
P0107

They said the reset everything and sent our H3 on it's way.

you may want to pick up the Colorado Back Roads and 4 Wheel Drive Trails book by Charles A Wells. This will give you some ideas and descriptions of trails to match your comfort and skill level. Barnes & Nobles has this book.

McCalister Gulch is fun. I did Redcone last weekend, but that was a pretty rough trail.

Just posted on "another flasher" about the same topic. Forgot to mention that the code was CO388
You mentioned that Hummer is waiting on a software upgrade for this problem. Any new information?

As for a dealer not being able to replace a BCM for a TPM message, I cannot find any "bulletin" on this subject. There was a service administration bulletin issued to only replace the BCM if it is at fault, if the symptom is the door ajar light is on or there is a dead battery. Good reason for this too, since the majority of these could have been fixed if the technician took the time to read the bulletins on these subjects.
As for the TPM from just reading on this forum, there are only a few who have complaints, and the membership of this forum in extremely small when talking about all H3 owners.
Heck, my TPM message came on the other morning, but went off after about two miles. The temps had dropped to the very low thirties, and I was not surprised. My tires need adjusting, and this weekend the pressures will be adjusted for the drop in temp from winter coming along.
