Default Help? Simple -vs- Complex Performance Tuners

Ok I think I made a $375 mistake. I bought a Predator Diablo Sport performance tuner. I bought this one because it sounded like it had the most features and right I was! I don't know that I have the info needed to be able to punch in the right combinations of :

Air/Fuel
Degrees of Timing I can deal with this one by trial and error.
Performance Shift adaptation for quicker of slower shifts at MPH and also at RPM, Firmness of shift, Rev limit adjustment.

The idea of the MPH -vs- RPM shift point is the type of shift. A wide open throttle shift point will be choosen for RPM shift, and a MPH shift point will be choosen for a partial throttle shift point.
Do I figure this out by noting where I would rather my tranny shift up while daily driving ?

How do you know what is too firm or too soft of a shift?
What exactly do they mean by REV limit adjustment?

So all those bring me to the big question.
Are there more simple tuners with presets like:
Balls To The Walls
Tow/Haul
Economy

I have a friend with the Superchips Tuner for his diesel and he did it. He can't even wire a stereo head unit or change a shock. I can do both and a lot more but I feel like I am missing some information needed to plug in this Diablo.

Man I hate sounding like the new guy that I am.

"trial and error, combined with advise from the board"

Ahh works for me. Thanks! I'll see if what I need is there.

Ok I guess I just did not know the way to ask what I was looking for.

"Search" prevails and all is well.

Ok I read all that and the most useful information was that GM had some updates back in '03 for the onboard computer and some of the Predators people had already recorded stock settings in could not be used again to reset stock settings after the dealer loaded the GM updates or the onboard computer might fry.

Also there is a website to see what what updates have been done to your truck by vin. But it doesn't work, just an error page nowadays.

New question.

Can someone share their Predator settings with me?
