Boy is this site persnickety towards enviro girls. I couldn't log on yesterday. You guys kept saying I'm forging or using a proxy and I'm not bright enough to know how to do that! Sheesh.

I'm sure you'll be glad I'm back as I have an enviro answer for your problem. You guys should be planting large native trees on your south/east exposure to block the morning sun from heating up your house. Trees planted on the south/west exposure will help block the afternoon sun fro heating your house in the afternoon hours. You can amend this based on your requirements for sun on your deck, but your energy costs will rise. Otherwise, do as suggested and save money on your energy bills. Enviro girl is all about saving money.

Ducky, you should seriously consider looking into passive solar as it could save you up to 50% on your energy costs - all just for how you lay out your house and windows. No one would even suspect you're a greenie as the house would look normal.

Anything else?

Anyone else having the most crappy day of their entire life today?

Nope. Maybe you should take a ride in a Hummer... that always cheers people up.

Yeah... until a Hummer owning girl comes along. Then there won't be anything green about it.

The fact of the matter is most of us have energy efficient houses, energy saving/efficient appliances and more trees in our yards than most.

Zoe isn't preaching to those that have the oil burning 20 yr old Datsuns. The ones that head home after a long day at the plant with a case of beast, cracking em open, going out to their shit weed patch to burn an old woodpile and some trash for the hell of it. Then walking a step inside his shoddy screen door to the multiple leaking old azz window unit ACs to cook some heavily packaged and preserved food on the cheap azz pot he will throw away in a year. While his wife preps for the night of their unceasing breeding with a disposable bic.

Either she is

A: Trolling for dick.

B: A lonely fat attention whore.

C: She believes now that she has a POS toxic tin can it gives her the license to preach because of the gas mileage and feels a new euphoric sense of enviro-imperialism and overall wisdom that the rest of us do not have and we truly care and seek her advice. (not mentioning the distaste in the intrusion preaching during a thread of a teenagers gloat of a senior picture.)

D: All of the above.

In the case of A, B, C or D, I would be happy to throw her to RYD or Shaggy.

I'm learning something here. I would have no reason to suspect that you Hummer people engage in energy efficiency. That's awesome. Hopefully, it's true. You'll only save money.

I'm too busy and active to be any of the above. I never sit still. I like to do. What thread of a teenagers gloat of a senior picture? I'm not trying to be a nuisance. I always believed diversity to be a good thing.

Ladies, ladies... stop fighting over me. Just post your pics and I'll decide which one of you gets me. No need for this vicious cat fight business and unless said fight involves no shirts and a kiddie pool full of ky, it's usually a turn off anyways.

I put in new super effecient A/C's in our house and guest house. That's good, right? Of course I keep the temp 2* colder now and run the one in the guest house all the time intead of just when needed, but I feel good because we're more efficient.

We love our plants and trees. They're great for the environment. To keep them that way I use lots and lots of water from the underground aquifer, just like my neighbors. I also use a ton of RoundUp to keep the weeds at bay. I don't want them killing any of the useful trees.

I use a bunch of fertilizer, too. Got to keep those plants healthy and green. I'm not too worried about the runoff because we've got too many darned fish in this world anyway.

We got rid of the H2 to get a more fuel effecient truck. Yep, honestly. Our Yukon gets about half a MPG better than a stock H2. Now we drive the heck out of the Yukon because we feel good about it now. Heck, we only drove the H2 about 7k miles a year, but that feel-good Yukon is going to get about 15k on it this year. Oh wait, that doesn't work out to a savings does it? That's ok, I can be a poser and feel good.

I put some of those flourescent bulbs in some of our lights. Now I run them all the time. Sometimes I accidently leave and incandescent bulb or two on overnight, but that's ok, right?

Hey, I'm trying and I feel good. All you enviro-haters be damned.

Now excuse me, I have to cut my lawn with our fuel effecient rider. We have a nickname for the mower, Old Smokey.

Thanks for the idea. Diesel is a hell-of-alot cheaper, too.

Fuhgeddaboudit... she is probably one of those uptight girls that doesn't want to be murdered/raped by someone she met online. There are plenty of other fish in the sea... and at shuffleboard night at the Elk's Lodge, RYD.
