Default Newbie Stupid ?

Went to the dealer today,(mistake 1) took the wife(mistake 2) with me to test drive an H1. She liked the H1 but she wanted to look at the H2 (prettier she said) and off she went with the sales guy (mistake 3) to look. Which lead to the test drive of both, That lead to picking out what color SHE wanted. The H2 is more her style (Real Estate guru). O.K. my plans of getting an H1 are slowly fading away and what I will end up with is becoming clearer. (H2 not divorce) During her constant raving about it (H2) I just wanted to know and did not get a chance to ask, Does the H2 have CTIS?

Thanks
Chris

you should have went alone like I did when I bought my 2nd H2. Its easier to ask for forgivness than permission. Boy did catch hell! But after a few stiches its still in the driveway!

Nope. No CTIS on the H2 unless you retro-fit (which I hear is prohibitively expensive (even for someone who can afford an H1).

If this is a vehicle you are gonna be using on more of a daily basis I think you will be happy with the H2

H2 is a great vehicle ! H1 is very very unique, but I wouldn't want it as a daily driver

No, an H2 doesn't have CTIS, therefore, she needs an H1.

They do not have CTIS, but the Adventure Package does have a good air compressor and a hose that can reach all four tires. Its not as cool as CTIS, but its a feature I like and use very often. I also use it to blow up mattreses, bike tires, etc. (no, I dont own any dolls ).

How did you guess on the color?!? Yellow was the 2nd choice. The first choice was the Orange of the H3.

Just shoot me now.

Don't think of the H2 as coming in second. It's one hell of a capable truck and you'll be alot more comfortable to boot. No CTIS, but in general that seems to be very problematic on the H1's anyway. Get the inboard compressor and hose and you can air down and up to your heart's content. You can make the H2 as bad ass an offroad vehilce as you want through aftermarket gear anyway, just browse through here and see what others have done. After that take a look at some of the Moab and Rubicon trips and you'll see just what the 2's can do. Go for it and don't look back! Best of luck and remember Pewter is perfect!

I know the H2's are excellent vehicles. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against the H2. It just went from me, me, me to her!
Was this not my idea to buy a Hummer !?!, How did it get turned around? I ask myself.
My personal preference is the H1, it fits my personality a little better. I like the utilitarianism of it. (I came from a Jeep background) Not to mention, if a tree-hugger gets annoying on I-80 between Sacramento and 'Frisco (I love saying that. It just pi$$es them off) I can always drift out of the lane a smidge.

Find a way to convince her otherwise the H1 is one of the sickest vehicles ever made, and if its your dail;y driver you pick, if its hers its another story. I know down here H2's are everywhere if its like that by you just tell her there everywhere were getting something different. If she thinks its more pretty tell her "great well get an H1, and then well see the pretty H2's go by" its a great comprimise between both haha. Anyway you dont see it from the outside when your driving it........ If you are going to be offroading a bit some things to think of in this decision is with the h1 you can push 30 inches and have 16 inch ground clearence where as the h2 you can push 20 inches and only have 9.5 inches of ground clearance

I would love to have an H1, but wouldn't want to drive it daily. As said above, the H2 can be aftermarketed to the gills!
