Default "Balancer" needed to keep #7 & #8 cyliners cool?

I placed an order with Teakatoys for afew things and when they called to "confirm" my order they recommended I get a balancer http://www.teakatoys.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=HEA%2DHDP1551&CartI D=1

I will be taking very few long trips, and I'm not going off road. Do you think this is needed?

It's a cooling kit. The cooling ports on cylinders 7 and 8 are blocked with a plate. This kit basically opens the flow so that the area doesn't get heat soaked.

I've reviewed something similar.

They all do the same thing.

It's a worthy modification, as it will also improve the heater performance.

Go to your local hardware store and get the parts from the pluming section. It will cost you around $30 for the hose and brass fitings
