Default built in phone

I got a question for you guys... the built in phone is a verizon unit, but is it possible to "unlock it" somehow? We use at&t and would like to add to our family plan. I know other phones can be unlocked and curious on if anyone knows how to do this?
Thanks
Chris

Technically it is possible. However GM has a agreement with Verizon and will only provision service thru them at this time

dont think it is possible. att uses the GSM network( wich is crap at least in my neck of the woods) and verizon uses CDMA network. in my experience this network is more reliable, but it also has less freedom of things you can with it. example att phones have a chip verizon does not, you have to go to the net. to make changes.

in other words mac vs. windows, sorta...

Its a good question .
I get a discount from AT&T and would be interested in adding the H3 phone as a second #.

Someone should know if its possible

you could always add bluetooth integration and use whatever mobile phone company you want. I think motorola make a stand alone unit for less than 300.00 bucks. I also read somewhere that the 09's are going to have bluetooth standard.

ya, the module will sync with your handset and is integrated into the car stereo, letting you hear through your speakers - just like onstar. If you just want to make and receive calls through your stereo, I'd get something like this http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...K3100B&tp=8395

Last Nov or Dec I switched from ATT to Verizon just to be able to add the OnStar pricing and i'm glad I did...in my area (east everglades) att does not work but the Verizon in the OnStar works great.

Don't think you can use ATT through the OnStar service even playing around with electronics... (YET)
