Can someone explain to me how this gear ratio correlates to the crawl ratio ?

Maybe it doesn't at all???

CRAWL RATIO:
BASE VEHICLE: 45.0:1
WITH OPTIONAL OFF-ROAD SUSPENSION PACKAGE: 68.9:1

The crawl ratio of a vehicle is the total gearing in the lowest gear possible. When you are in 1st gear in the transmission, & low range in the transfer case, & then it is multiplied by the axle gear ratio.

The 68.9:1 is for a manual, an auto with off-road is approx. 57:1.
