I installed a Pioneer AVIC-N1 and NavTraffic sometime in early Nov. and last week I went ahead and upgraded the rest of the system. I installed a 4-channel Alpine amp (MRV-F545), Alpine Type R 6 1/2" components, and a 10" Alpine Type R sub. I thought that the Monsoon system sounded decent until I put this in. New system is unbelievably loud and clear. My advice would be if you're going to upgrade speakers and amps to do the headunit as well. Just the headunit in mine made a huge difference in how it sounded before I even did the amps and speakers. I guess it's putting out close to 1000 watts.
