The H2's looking good! I installed the same Light Brackets, but I used Hella Fog Lights. Unfortunately, my Hellas are only 6" lights, so I still think they look a bit unbalanced. The PIAA lights are 6.25" and I hear they fit perfectly. Is this so? I may give my Hellas to my father-in-law and get the PIAAs if they fit nicely. I'm having to brace the Hellas with a self-made bracket in the back (i.e. not real stable).

Also, I have to ask every one that runs the 37" MT/Rs - do they rub? I've read a few that say NO and I met one guy with them that says YES (when wheeling).

Thanks. I like the PIAA 520's I used the same wiring from my factory brush guard lights, so the swithch in the interior is factory. The lights fit perfectly. I have had problems with rust on the housing and two of the four screws that hold the back plate on broke off. So I will have to do some mods to the housing unit.

The 37" MTR's I just put on yesterday. The spare is also a 37" MTR and just fits in the back. LOL. I also put in H2 lift lips which cover all of the insides of the wheel wells with rubber to avoid mud, etc from getting into the engine compartment. These only ran about $50.00 to get and will save me hours of time not having to clean the wheel wells that are exposed showing the frame and inside of the engine compartment.

I haven't taken it off roading yet with the new MTR's. I will report back to you about any problems with clearance. I do have the air suspension on my H2.

Thanks for the reply. I keep going back and forth on what tires I want as a next set. I'm not going to start a whole French bashing theme, but BFGoodrich is owned by Michelin, so I'd prefer to buy Good-Year.

I got the tires and extra set of stock rims at my dealer. The set of five rims was $375.00. The tires were $240.00 each including tax and shipping. They are the Goodyear MTR tires size 37x12.50x17. I also had my chrom mirrors removed and put black ones on that I got on e-bay for $60.00. The Gobi ladder is still on my H2. I can fit in a standard 7 foot garage door opening with these larger tires on, as long as I don't have the roof racks on.

I just put on a set of the same Goodyear MT/R's on stock rims this week too. Gotta say they look even better than the pics I'd seen.

On the way home I had to try them out at the sand dunes, crossing the dunes is a short cut. Even with high tire pressures they did okay for a mudder. Aired down they should be almost as good as the BFG A/T's in the sand. Some may say better. Anyway I'm happy.

One question about wheel weights? How did your tires balance? I had these done a on radial force(road) variation balancer. A couple of the tires were a little heavier in some areas than I preferred, which left me adding more weight than I wanted. Each tire took 2-3 oz. inside and from 2.75 to 4.75 outside. H2 Orange has the same tires and his took a lot less weight, and I don't think he put his on a road force balancer. Just curious how your's balanced.

I know going to bigger tires changes the gearing and usually results in a loss of power and gas mileage. So far power seems about the same, maybe slightly less. Hard to tell today, most of my driving was into a headwind, and that's like an anchor on any H2.

Hi Gary. I called a company in the bay area that is selling a replacement kit for the day time lights. They said you have to cut the back of the mounting plastic but their set up mounts hard to the metal bumper and fit perfectly. The whole sha-bang is under $300 bucks. I have them on order (www.hummersolutions.com)

Roughly how much did the new fender extensions, PIAAs and wiring/relay/switch/fuses set up cost for your set up. I may want both or maybe just leave the day time lights (they're sort of useless though).

I bought the new fender extensions from an owner that is on this site. They ran around $220.00, if I remember correctly.

I am curious to hear from others who have bought the same set of fender extensions if they have had any problems with rusting, or any other issues.

As far as the PIAA 520s I got those for around $250.00 for the set including the wiring. Since I already had mounted from the factory/dealership the Bosch Off Road lights on my factory wrap around brush guard I used that wiring harness for my PIAA 520s.

I believe that the lighting pattern on the PIAA 520s is quite different than the lights shown on the site you mentioned. I know PhilD has posted quite extensively about lighting and you may want to check those posts or talk to him as well. Hopefully this was of some help for you.
