Well.. looks like the same symptoms came back again.. this time I took it straight in to the shop.. They are going to try to replace the ignition switch and see how it goes from there..

Well got my car back and it took them 3 days to go through the car and find the chafed wires causing the short. Hopefully this was the fix and the end of that saga.

I bet a cell phone would have worked in that case as well. I never once used Onstar. I think its a joke.
