Some people call it "Crozet." It's near Charlottesville.
I may just go exploring the national forests roads pretty soon, looking for camping and hunting spots. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Tellico is near Murphy, NC. Several of us from the forum are going the first part of March. You should join us. Tellico is a National Forest. http://www.tellico4x4.com/catalog/tellico_trails.php?os...56fc347e0b46ab586b5d </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Thanks. Looks like a good place. Sounds fun. Do you know when you are going? I'd love to go, but it's about 9 hours away and I am getting back from a 1-week overseas trip on March 2 and will probably be busy and tired for a short while.

Thanks. It comes with a Warn 9.5xp (9.5K lb) winch. I'd rather have a bigger winch, but that's all I could find readily available. I guess I can use a snatch block if I need to increase the pull. (Actually, I included that last part because I just like saying "snatch.")

Just for the record, I've been called a Homo, stupid, moron, dumbass, but I think we have come to the conclusion that you need to spool the rope up with some tension the first time

Instructor,
Enlighten me about stretching the rope? I too ordered that front bumper winch assy. It should be here this week and if there are any tips/tricks I need to do, I'd love to know.
Thanks,

Funny thing, that's not how it is worded in my 9.5xp manual. It reads "Always prestretch wire rope and spool under load before use. Tightly wound wire rope reduces chances of "binding", which is wire rope working it's way down into a loosely wound wire rope layer, and catching or damaging itself."
You are simply full of ****. "used one daily"??????
For your information, dumbass, I was one of, if not THE first to put the Warn bumper with the 9.5xp on my H2.
Using your logic, I should just spend less money and get a 7K pound winch and use 1 or 2 snatch blocks.

I used one DAILY. And we had the prototype Warn bumper and XP, so you were not the first.
I said the XP worked better than a MM12K, not put a 7000 pound winch on your H2.
