That one is not the GM fuel door, it is an after market one.. the GM looks like the one for the H2, with the HUMMER label and no lock.

First Hummer,
Thanks for the pic. Just ordered one myself. Any tricks during installation? Does the dark gray fuel well stay in and you mount it onto that... or does the existing piece come out? I'm curious to know how it locks down given the way the existing well sits in there. Thanks again!

Install very easy, all you have to do is make sure you clean outer plastic ring very well. They supply a prep residue you apply after cleaning it.Then remove plastic coating over 3M tape.Place door in position and hold so tape can adhere.Open fuel door and there are 2 self tapping screws that go into the original well.Do not over tighten or you will strip them.Whats the big deal if its not GM,it looks good just the same.

I think it looks sweet! Plus the Realwheels fuel door has a lock which I don't think GM even offers. I could care less if it is a GM accessory or not, as long and it does what it is suppose to. Good choice, I like it.

I haven't got mine yet. RealWheels says it will be about 1 week, as they are swamped with H3 orders. I did see the fuel door at the local dealer though, and it does look heavy and well-built. I am a little skeptical about chrome, because my H2 had a GM fuel door, and the chrome was cheap. If I'm going to go with a few chrome parts, I don't want something that looks like it came from Fischer Price. The "Official GM Product" thing doesn't hold much weight with me. Thanks to (First Hummer) for the install info. Has anyone purchased their side step Upgrade Kit? I really want to cover that plastic step on my nerf bars, but I don't want to buy a completely new set.
