Wiring diagram or info for liscense plate remote location
on 2003 H2's you could get the dealer installed rear tire carrier which also included a setup to move your liscense plate to the driver side.
I'm having a problem where I'm not getting any juice, my ground is fine, and I've tested 3 light bulbs. But the postive just gets so jumbled up that at the time I didn't have the time to track it, can any one give me some info on how this works?
Oh and checked fuses didn't see any burnt ones, though may not have checked the correct ones, but I didn't see anything.

License Plate Light Wiring Instructions
1. In front of rear bumper underneath vehicle on driver side, locate cluster of three plugs. The white
plug housing should have no existing wiring.
2. Remove the white plug housing from receptacle by pushing in the tab and pulling down.
3. Remove the wire retainer from the plug housing.
4. Remove the two orange plugs as shown in drawing.
5. Push terminal ends for tag light into plug as shown in drawing.
6. Replace wire retainer.
7. Route plug housing and wire back to receptacle and plug in firmly to engage tabs.
8. Use provided wire ties to secure excess wire.
Photo below shows finished installation.
9. Install license plate
10. Turn vehicle lights on, check to see that license plate light functions

Re: Wiring diagram or info for liscense plate remote location
Diagram is the factory wiring the truck came with. Instructions below are the ones we would get with the SMA tire carrier kit. For some reason it would not let me copy and paste the pictures. Google hummer sma tire carrier and you should be able to find what ya need

Re: Wiring diagram or info for liscense plate remote location
Alright figured it out, turns out that the power source for the license plate light is spliced into place from the trailer light hookup.
I could of swore I had checked that fuse twice at least, but sure enough when I checked it, it was blew.
I'm guessing it's probably from towing other peoples' trailers specifically ones that had, had hard lives and featured 1 out of 10 of the lights functioning lol.
Otherwise I'm at a loss why it would blow.
